Located 1400 metres above sea level on the south side of the Schmittenhöhe Mountain in Zell am See, Berghotel Blaickner's Sonnalm cannot be reached by car but only by the Sonnalmbahn Cable Car (last cable car 16.30). Ski slopes and hiking paths are accessible directly from the property. The family-run hotel offers a spacious sun terrace with scenic views of the Hohe Tauern Mountain Range. After a day full of skiing or hiking, guests can relax in the outdoor hot tub or can have a glass of wine in front of the fireplace. Each of the individually furnished non-smoking rooms is equipped with solid wooden furnishings and free WiFi. Traditional and regional cuisine as well as Austrian wines are served at the on-site restaurant. Breakfast and half board are available. The closest bus and train station is 6 km away. From May to October, the SommerCard is included in the rate and offers several discounts and benefits such as free use of local cable cars.
