Set in Saint-Michel-la-Forêt, 14 km from Golf of Bois-Francs, Villa Maëlla offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Breakfast out on the terrace overlooking the colourful flowers was just wonderful We were attending a wedding and the hosts provided us with a taxi to and from the reception, in a super convertible car. Although our french is limited and the hosts did not speak a great deal of french (apart from their son Leo) they were always making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. A very big thank you for a wonderful stay.

I would never have slept in when that petite dejeuner waited. The place was run like official youth hostels were once run when I was young, with a real mind to the needs of the guest, not the convenience or venal needs of staff. Staff here didn't take advantage of the disadvantaged. I'm already planning a return someday.

Solo, with friends or family, we have everything you need: enjoy our 4 to 6 person dormitories or 2 to 4 person studios. I had booked in hostel but due tp some issue with security, they provided me free upgrade to their 3 star hotel. The hotel room was good with all facilities. It also had TV hair dryer and toileteries. The location was very good and convenient, 7 mins walk from train station and shopping center. Check out time was also late, till 12noon.

The location is perfect, if you planning to visit Etrate, Id like everything in this Hostel. Breakfast was for 15 euro, and it was good. The Receptionist with Ginger hair, was really nice and helpful

Champrepus Zoo is 24 km from the hostel, while Mont Saint Michel Abbey is 38 km from the property. The nearest airport is Rennes–Saint-Jacques Airport, 99 km from Auberge de Jeunesse HI Genêts. Spent a couple of days here with our son to visit Mont St Michel. Perfect location, close to a big empty beach with a magnificent view of the abbey. Wonderful staff, great atmosphere, clean rooms and communal areas and every utensil you need to prepare a quick meal.

The property is around less than 1 km from Cathedrale Notre Dame de Bayeux, 8.3 km from German Battery of D-Day and 10 km from D-Day Museum. The hostel features family rooms. The location was great and close to the center and the main cultural attractions. The use of an old school for the hostel gave a wonderful historic feeling to our stay (as two historians, this was a big plus). The staff was helpful and the rooms were very big. Also the hostel has great floors to slide on with fuzzy socks :)
