This was by far the most fantastic house I have stayed in Portugal. It had such a cute vibe to it. The decoration, the cleanliness and warming appearance made our trip so much better. The owner of this beautiful house was extremely welcoming and very kind to me and my family and she made us feel so special. Thank you Eva for recommending us great places to eat out and local attractions to visit. Location is quiet and so peaceful. Loved everything about this trip. We will definitely want to come back some day soooon!!!! 🤗

Situated in Provesende and only 12 km from Natur Waterpark, Quinta Pedreira dos Anjos features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We wanted quite and romantic place, out of the city place but close enough to drive by car. This place is located 20-25 minutes from the Sabrosa/Pinhao. The stay was amazing! The room was spacious enough and we had a big window facing the valley. The sunset and the morning views are incredible there. And because of the isolated location it so quite there. Except the room there is also a place outside in the property to sit and enjoy the wine and the views. The host gave us a taste of their own wine and port and we also asked for the breakfast (additional price). Wow, you definitely must have it! Aurora made us a wonderful breakfast. Everything on the table came from their own garden. And the view from the balcony (where we ate) is amazing.

Located within 4.4 km of Mateus Palace in Vila Real, Novabila Guesthouse provides accommodation with free WiFi. The nearest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, 98 km from the accommodation. This is a very comfortable big room in the town centre of Vila Real, near restaurants, the river, and stores. Perfect if you want a quiet space as well. The room is big, and the mattress is very good. Because the rooms are on the top floor it's very quiet during the evening, you don't hear any noise from the streets.

Wonderful old village house close to Douro river valley. Carlos, the owner, is cool guy, he showed us the house, gave a few great trip tips and cooked apple pie. And he owns 2 really big dogs.

Offering a shared lounge and city view, The Pine House is set in Peso da Régua, 17 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and 23 km from Natur Waterpark. We LOVED everything, specially the breakfast. The view of our room was amazing. Staff is also very helpful and kind.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Douro D'Heart - Regua Guesthouse - Casa Completa is located in Peso da Régua. Really huge house. Much better than on the pictures. It has everything you need for a great stay. We felt like the owners ( some duke or very successful merchants from 100 years ago) left it for us to a couple of days. We truly enjoyed it.

Located in Vilarinho da Castanheira, 46 km from Vila Real, Casa Dona Urraca boasts a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the mountain. Rooms are spread between 2 houses. The place is a thirteenth century farm house, renovated, super charming, and located in a very quiet small village. The owners are awesome and hospitable. They welcomed us with a beautiful bottle of Porto and cookies on a tray with starched linen. Our room was neat, clean, spacious, and we had a view of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious: it included a wide variety of foods such as breads, yogurt, cut-up fruit, ham, and cheese all served on elegant linen and dishes. They shared fresh cherries, strawberries, and herbs from their garden with us. Adelina, her niece, and sister-in-law went out of their way to make us feel at home, and to accommodate our dietary constraints (no lactose). We look forward to coming back to this piece of paradise in the near future.
