Location in the country. Wonderful place. So nice host, warm welcome, many cute cats. We unfortunately arrived later than what we wanted and did not have the time to walk around. We did it in the morning (under the rain :), but host gave us umbrella to help) Real traditional village, quiet, authentic. I LOVED it, and regret not to stay 1 or 2 more days.

Geonmak Stay is awesome - so glad I stayed there. It's a really short walk to the Mokpo Station - I took the KTX from Seoul, arrived at night, and it was quick and easy to walk there. It's an interesting place, different in some ways from anywhere I've stayed, but different in a way that I really liked. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. You check in at the Pub downstairs, and the English instructions they gave me were pretty clear - everything worked. The bathroom IS the shower - don't aim the shower head at the trash can or toilet paper roll, though. The bidet seat buttons were all labelled in Korean, but I figured them out pretty quickly, since I have a Toto Washlet at home, anyway. The people at the pub are great. Their English is not great, but being young, they quickly pulled out translators on their phones which helped a lot. There is a refrigerator and microwave (again, knob labels in Korean) in the small kitchen on the second floor. The neighborhood is not so upscale, but felt very safe and walking around (it's only about 100 yards from the harbor quay) was great - you can get fresh fruits and vegetables their easily. There are some cool bakeries and coffee shops nearby, in addition to plenty of mini-marts. In summary, I had a great experience - be sure to go down to the Pub often!!

Queríamos cocinar tteokbokki y nos ayudó a hacer la compra! Nos acompañó al supermercado a comprar los ingredientes y luego nos dio la bienvenida a su casa para ayudarnos con la cocina! Muy agradable y nosotros estamos eternamente agradecidos

El Hundred Years Hanok se encuentra en Mokpo, a 6 km de la plaza Pyeonghwa Peace, y ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y jardín. Ofrece habitaciones familiares y terraza. The one hundred year Hanok is a lovely place to stay. It has been very prettily decorated with hand embroidered curtains in the bedrooms. The staff are very helpful, kind and generous. The owner shared half her lunch with me, so I could try some traditional Korean food! The accommodation is only ten minutes walk from the station and near the very lovely Yudalsan park.
