Close to the station and in a middle of residential area with beautiful Japanese houses and gardens. I saw some people complained in their comments about long introduction to the rules, but for us it was very nice too. After you learn what and how, you feel more relaxed and can fully enjoy. If I had such a house where many elements are made from wood, had tatami etc- I would also like to explain my guests how to use it. We also had breakfasts that were exquisite for a very fair price. Our hosts made us feel like at home and also made many recommendations what to visit around. I am grateful I could be welcomed in such a way and I am sorry I could not stay longer. This is definitely a place where you can stay for a longer period, visit Kyoto (30 mins by train), cycle around the lake and further, play tennis in a park nearby. All that for very nice price:)

A supermarket is only a 1-minute walk away. The property was easy to find and well maintained outside. The owners were very welcoming. I was able to store my bike on the property too.
