We used our stay as a night halt from southern Germany to Calais and it was ideal, although we would have liked longer! Margot, our host gave us a lovely welcome, the place is stunning, with beautiful views and in a great location, away from the many tourists in Bernkastel-Kues, yet close enough to walk in. we had the balcony room with a nice view. The property is located in a quiet area and not very far from the city Center. We could park our car on the property and bicycles in a garage next to the main entrance. The cleanliness of the rooms was ensured everyday by the land lady while we were eating our breakfast. The owner/hostess was great. The evening meal and the breakfast good. The location in a Moselle River town was beautiful (a stone's throw from the river) and relaxing. A clean room, good shower/ bed/night's sleep, and fine food--what more can a weary traveler ask for? Would definitely stay here again. A perfect place to avoid the all-modern big chain hotels--a real feel for the countryside.
