Set in Heimbach in the North Rhine-Westphalia Region, 50 km from Cologne, Dormio Resort Eifeler Tor features a sauna and indoor pool. I originally selected the resort because it is close to the Hürtgen Forest and I wanted to understand more about the Soldiers involved in the battle. The local tourist information provided by the resort allowed us to learn more about the history of the area beyond the war. Germany truly is a country rich in history and culture. The resort was very accommodating and welcoming for everyone in my family. The woman at the reception desk was very helpful and confident when we checked in. We have not fully learned the German language yet and she was very understanding of this and spoke in English. Everyone at the resort acted with the same professionalism. The best part is how quiet the resort was at all hours. We do not get to enjoy this in the United States. It was a wonderful stay!
