A calming aesthetic. Quality home. A lot of outdoor space which must be wonderful in good weather. Plenty of heating. Plenty of blankets. Pyjamas supplied. I wish I could live there - that’s how beautiful it is. I am so grateful for the chance to stay here. Good value for the space. Also, I have to thank the hosts for being so kind, warm and friendly in their communication and for being so generous and helpful. This would be an ideal base for exploring Naoshima. I walked to Uno Port in 30 mins, but without backpack it could be quicker. Probably there is a bus but I didn’t look. It felt so nice staying in a town not routinely visited by tourists. After the crowds of Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka etc this was a welcome respite and a chance to slow down and see a small town, real life.

My daughter's family slept very comfortably on futon in that room. The tableware in the kitchen comes from the related ceramic gallery and is beautiful and functional. They even serve fresh fruit, croissants and rolls with butter and jam for breakfast. We appreciated everything about the house!
