We totally fell in love with this property and the valley. Absolutely outstanding. We were met by Florence, who is very engaging and friendly and showed us the house and how to use the swim spa. I wish we had discovered this property when our boys were young as it is a perfect family base as well as being a wonderfully tranquil getaway for couples who appreciate nature. The house is very well equipped, the beds very comfortable with clean crisp bedding. The shower is great and hot water plentiful if you need it. Comfy sofas too when you do drag yourself indoors eventually. Waking up to a view of the mountains on a clear day was breathtaking, and we couldn't wait to explore. Outside you are surrounded by nature, grazing animals (the nearby farmer has a herd of beautiful goats), rocky hilltops, wooded slopes, birds of prey, smaller garden birds and we were even visited by a lovely big fat toad.. The village of Arrens was friendly with a great boucherie, small supermarket, local produce shop, pizzeria and more! As a location, ideally placed to explore from in all directions with many walks, natural sights and local villages all within very easy reach. We are already looking at when we can return again.

We spent 6 nights here. we were very comfortable. Enough equipment to cook in. The oven is a small table top oven and therefore not as quick or hot compared to a normal oven. Just to be aware. As in all France- I love their shutters. Makes for a good night sleep. The grounds are lovely- perfect for playing in and chilling out in the deckchairs.

Stunning peaceful location in the Pyrenees near the village of Estaing. The apartment was comfortable, extremely clean and wonderfully decorated with everything we needed for our stay. Heidi the Pyrenees mountain dog was there to welcome us on our arrival along with our host. The kids loved having this gentle giant around for pats and cuddles. We could help ourselves to the vegetable garden if we wished. We loved to eat our dinner out under the apple tree watching the sun set over the mountains.

Great location for walking, close to lac d’estaig which is breath-taking. Cauterets ski station half an hour away
