Everything was great there. My room on the 1st floor with traditional futon bed was not big, but comfortable. It looked exactly as on booking photos. The view and river sound from the balcony was amazing. The couple managing this hotel are so nice people, even though we speak different languages I felt so comfortable. They also serve breakfast for additional 1000 yen and it is delicious Japanese breakfast on green balcony with flowers and cats with mountain view. I was really pleased to stay there.

Hisayo is so incredibly welcoming and in the short time I was there I watched her make introductions and find connections between the guests, making it a very warm and friendly atmosphere where all the guests helped each other and made plans for the future. She goes above and beyond. It was beyond the experience I had hoped for. ☺️

The 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. The accommodation offers luggage storage space and a concierge service for guests. I love the core concept of this 'scattered hotel' that encourages guests to engage with the community. From the welcome walking tour of the neighborhood, to a detailed map and restaurant recommendations, to the tickets to the neighborhood bathhouse, I really felt anchored in a sense of place. Breakfast is in a separate building down the road. For a solo traveler, my tatami mat room and adjacent but private toilet (shared shower) were perfect. Neighborhood is lots of fun to explore, and the 'concierge' was so helpful, and warm, and responsive. Wonderful experience.

Great hostel. Super clean. It was very calm and nice, with people being very respectful of one another and I heard absolutely no noise after quiet hours. Bed was supercomfy. Well-equipped kitchen with free coffee. The girl in the reception was wonderful as well, and she helped us with booking tickets to a music festival, even allowing us to use her local telephone number temporarily. (Thank you so much, we got the tickets!!)
Andon Ryokan is a very hostile, cosy and clean ryokan in an older and more quiet part of Tokyo. The rooms were charming and clean, and the breakfast was really good. A must stay in Tokyo.
Nice modern design with free drink machines in the lounge area. Great location in Akihabara, but not on main street so it's still quiet. Nicely sized towels are provided. Individual sleeping pods are well appointed and surprisingly spacious compared to several other hostels I stayed at.
I stayed here at the start of my trip then decided to return again at the end because it was such a quiet comforting space! Isa is a great host and I'd recommend if you want a safe, quiet place to return to after busy travels!
Fantastic place in a quiet neighbourhood but with many good restaurants and bars around the apartment. Very walkable and close to the heart of Shinjuku. Jacob is a great host. Communication with him was easy and he responded to all inquiries immediately and was very helpful. Lots of amazing food recommendations from the host that we would not be able to find on our own!
Great location, quiet area with short walk to main streets with shopping and night life. Whole house to yourself and the host doesn’t bother you at all just leaves you to it. 2 bathrooms and a toilet on each 3 levels with plenty of toilet paper etc
Great hostel to relax, the rooms are quiet, the beds are comfy and you can keep you privacy. The bathrooms and showers are clean. People don't really talk to each other but that's just a detail, it's the perfect place to have a good sleep and get some rest after exploring the city for the entire day.
Great hostel. Very clean and tidy, and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location too and only a short distance from Shinjukus main area. The free breakfast was very nice too!
Such an easy check in, really quiet inside the hostel, comfy beds, great location close to lots of food options and public transport!
Jij is a great host who made me feel like spending Christmas in a home rather than a guesthouse. After receiving the special-lemon-juice-welcome drink I’ve been shown where to buy delicious Sushi at a cheap price & in the evening everyone gathered around the common table. Definitely my favourite hostel in Tokyo so far.
