The nearest airport is Tokyo Haneda Airport, 80 km from Oyado Yaokyu 1st Floor in 4 Story Building - Vacation STAY 6713. Everything was great there. My room on the 1st floor with traditional futon bed was not big, but comfortable. It looked exactly as on booking photos. The view and river sound from the balcony was amazing. The couple managing this hotel are so nice people, even though we speak different languages I felt so comfortable. They also serve breakfast for additional 1000 yen and it is delicious Japanese breakfast on green balcony with flowers and cats with mountain view. I was really pleased to stay there.

Hostel master is very nice and friendly. The location is in living area which is very quiet. Around 10-15 mins walking distance from metro station which is not too far with big luggage.

Great view from the deck, you can see Aogashima in the distance on a clear day, and the Milky Way up above on a clear night. They have notebooks with wonderful messages from guests dating back to 2006!

She goes above and beyond. It was beyond the experience I had hoped for. ☺️

The owner and staff were amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. Response time to questions and emails are very prompt. The area is nice and quite and is pretty close to the train station.

Breakfast is in a separate building down the road. For a solo traveler, my tatami mat room and adjacent but private toilet (shared shower) were perfect. Neighborhood is lots of fun to explore, and the 'concierge' was so helpful, and warm, and responsive. Wonderful experience.
