Located in Ko Lanta and only 4.1 km from Lanta Old Town, Rommai Forest Bungalows provides accommodation with inner courtyard views, free WiFi and free private... Lovely location, the host Roy was amazing, really happy to help and show off his area. Ko lanta is an unspoiled area of Thailand. The accommodation is peaceful, different (in a good way), comfortable and clean. Having breakfast while the monkeys are roaming around was a big highlight. We ate breakfast and evening dinner at Roy’s onsite restaurant (his wife is the chef) and have to say the food was great. My children loved the pineapple pancakes for breakfast. My favourite was the penang curry. We’ll always have fond memories of our time staying here. And I’m sure it’ll be an experience my children will always remember. Thank you Roy.

The grounds are beautiful and everything melts into the nature perfectly. I especially love the eating areas, they are so cozy. The attention to detail is amazing everywhere, little touches of color, and even fresh picked flowers in the room. I especially loved the hammocks on the decks of the bungalows. There’s so many lovely little pieces of decor to be found throughout the site.

Rooms are 10 square metres. Lanta Local Hut is located a 2-minute walk from Khlong Khong Beach on Koh Lanta. Free parking is available on-site. Each room is fitted with its own private bathroom. It is the best place in Lanta for a backpacker. It is cheap, it is basic but clean, it is a bangalow all to yourself. It has a bathroom and a hammock. Owners are super polite and helpful, really nice family. With them you can book your tours and transport. I stayed there for more than a week and I recommend!
