The location is beautiful, with idyllic scenery, a stunning river right next to the camp, and a lovely Spring Garden you can visit next door. The camp was set up based on our preferences, ensuring that our needs were met even before we checked in. While it is still camping, the camp is both comfortable and clean, and the wonderful stargazing at night adds to the experience. I highly recommend Mountain Camp at Mesilau to anyone seeking a unique, and for me, nostalgic experience. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking to take a break from the fast-paced city life, the Mountain Camp ticks all the boxes.

This is an absolutely fantastic property and resort. It is true to its name: it is at the edge of the forest and one of the further-removed properties in the area, if not the furthest. The staff is extremely responsive and will help you arrange anything that you wish to arrange in the area. I stayed in one of the basic chalets (so one step up above the dormitories) and it was amazing. If you have the money and it is at all possible, skip the dormitory and get the chalet. Yes, it's a price jump, but absolutely worth it. Spotlessly clean, drinking water upon request, wonderful private deck that I was obsessed with. Restaurant is top-notch. Air-con, which is a huge thing in Borneo. You should definitely follow their recommendations and make sure that you have a slip-off pair of shoes since you'll be walking between your accomodations and the restaurant pavillion frequently. Staff is extremely friendly. Anything that's within reason you ask for, you will get.
