The countryside and mountains surrounding the Sport Hotel Gym + SPA are perfect for hiking, mountain climbing and skiing. Guests have access to the Fun Zone which features tablets with games and PlayStation. In addition there a gym open 24 hours and the Spa offers a sauna, a hammam, a chromo-therapy shower and various massages and treatments. not attractive to look at, but looking out was stunning . totally functional, nice off the wall approach, use of materials etc. total value for money. sorry to leave.

Set in the medieval Monastery of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, this charming boutique hotel features a restaurant serving traditional dishes from the Castelo Branco district. It is located on the slopes of Esperança Mountains. A beautiful calm location in nature but still close to town. One of our favorite places to stay. Everything is wonderful.

The property has mountain and river views, and is 36 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela. The apartment also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This place is a shining diamond! Drinking coffee in the morning next to the flowing Alva river with birds singing all around us - what an experience! The apartment was excellent, very clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and we felt was really interested in our well-being. He also gave us a tour of the goat milk facility next to the apartments, which our children especially liked. The luxurious breakfast basket with local produce was a wonderful addition. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely be back when the seasons change!

All the elements have been thought through to combine into a perfect, authentic experience - you can tell the property owners have put heart, mind and soul into this project. Will 100% be coming back.

There is nothing better than experiencing the real authenticity of what Portugal is all about. The rich culture, cobblestone streets and the energy. Casa do Chefe, is gem of a location. Sandra and Pedro are incredible and truly made our stay here feel like home. The decor is fabulous and truly memorable on many levels. We will most definitely be back.

Everything here is superb. Our unit was on 2 floors - all spotless. Far more space than we needed. Wonderful gardens with a large pool. Parking right outside our apartment. The property is secure with gated access. Gorgeous views all round. A really lovely place. Highly recommend We ate at a super local restaurant called “Ponto de Encontro”. 3 courses for 2 people plus drinks and all for €37. A great stopover and only sorry it was just for one night
