It felt like we were stepping back in time, much like an ocean liner/ship from the past. Matt greeted us warmly upon arrival and helped us get checked in quickly. The staff in the bar were excellent as well, making us feel welcome immediately. It was a great experience and we hope to return someday to enjoy a longer stay.

Situated in Kirkcudbright, 42 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, Arden House Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Guests can grab a bite to eat in the restaurant or a drink at the bar and free WiFi is available. The food was delicious, and the staff was so friendly! Close enough to town that it was just a quick car trip (in better weather we would have walked), but it felt secluded! Beautiful setting!

In all of my travels, this place will forever stay in my memory bank. It was such an awesome experience, the checkin, the staff, all of the extra amenities, the apartment was fantastic. Great location with beautiful view of the castle, close to cafes, bakeries, pubs , restaurants and tourists sites.

This was our biggest surprise of the trip and our favorite. The rooms were large, beds comfortable, best warm shower, amazing views from our room, gorgeous location and the staff were all great people. The largest breakfast selection, everything was fresh and good, and the restaurant staff was very helpful.

They were very helpful and allowed for a late check out. They also had laundry facilities which is hard to find.

Always very attentive and willing to assist you with any request you might have. Good breakfast options with local dishes. Dinner a la carte also very nice.
