Everything about the Hotel Accommodation, 10/10 room, bed, sheets & pillows made for a great night sleep, location, breakfast was fantastic & especially the staff accommodated all our needs. We appreciated the time taken to make our stay wonderful, as we were international family we felt safe at all times. We all participated in the River Rhine swim, staff provided extra bags to do so, with the fast currents which was a highlight of our stay. Thankyou!

Just a 10-minute drive south of Basel, this hotel is set within a forested area on the Rhine riverbank. It offers a restaurant, rooms for weddings and seminars, and a spacious riverside terrace. The location was fantastic, facilities superb but best of all were the staff - helpful, friendly and professional.

Situated in the centre of Basel's Old Town, on the banks of the Rhine, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois is one of Europe’s oldest city hotels, where such personalities as Napoleon, Elizabeth II, Pablo... Breakfast was nice but just the usual. Probably not worth €45 a person. Location was perfect right in the heart of the old town, on the river. Make sure to request a room with a view of the river. The hotel is exceptional in every way but expensive. The staff will go out of their way to meet your every request. Enjoy the cigar bar. The bedsheets and duvet cover was extremely soft and comfortable. The mini bar was accessible, free of charge.

The location--a short walk to grocery stores, tram stops, the Rhine, and the famous Basler Art Museum--is wonderful. A city tax, payable upon check-in, rewards guests with an unlimited tram/bus ticket for free travel on the entire Basel public transportation network. The apartment, accessible by elevator, was quiet and spacious, including a balcony with seating, a large bedroom with generous storage space, and a larger sitting room and full-equipped kitchen area. Re-charging outlets for electronic devices next to the nightstands were convenient. The shower/bathtub and sink are in one room, a toilet and tiny sink in another. We especially liked the superior body and shampoo liquid soaps. All the fixtures are very modern. There is a washer and dryer in a hallway room nearby.

A 5-minute walk from the Basel SBB Train Station, Basel Charme offers self-catering accommodation in a typical historic town house, dating back to 1898. A beautiful apartment in a very peaceful pretty setting but close to public transport. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the rooms very spacious. A really wonderful place to stay for a few days in Basel. The hosts were kind, helpful and had excellent lines of communication from the book in process all the way through.

Only a 5-minute walk from the St. Jakob Park sports stadium, the B&B Auf dem Wolf is located south-east of the centre of Basel. Great host. Explained what all there is to see in the city. She marked on the map and recommended the biggest sights. Breakfast excellent. Accommodation is wonderful.
