Sunrise Beach Resort is very small (only 8) bungalows, so it was really nice and quiet. Ideal for our 2 night stay. The rooms are spacious, as is the bathroom with lots of hot water. The food at the restaurant, whilst quite limited was very tasty & well presented. Pen is an excellent host & her staff are equally as friendly. She goes out of her way to ensure you have the best stay possible. Nothing is too much trouble for her. The pool & surrounding area are well kept & the rooms are cleaned daily. Whilst the restaurant closes at 8p.m. you can still get a beer or a cold drink from the honesty bar a reception. It's very close to the ferry, but his makes it a little isolated, but taxi's to the busier White Sand Beach are available. Pen will also organise car or scooter hire for you.

It’s a little slice of Heaven on earth. The facilities were beautifully decorated, and the property itself is perched on a platform by the river surrounded by mangrove. The river leads shortly to the sea. There are kayaks, bicycles, and basic fishing rods that you can use for free. it was surreal kayaking to dinner every evening - bit like gondoliering in Venice, except in hot and humid Thailand. There are also 2 cutie dogs who reside on property. The owner managers are super lovely as well - Eric and Lotus. very accommodating and welcoming. The whole property is rather like a value for money Club Med environment without the pretense.
