What a beautiful place to relax! The views are amazing and it's very peaceful. The villa we stayed at is spacious with a large terrace. The villas share a pool, located beautifully and so comfortable with great loungers. The restaurant has the same gorgeous view and the food is great.
The great thing is also that they have a gate directly to the Delaire-Graff estate for wine tasting, dinner. They have a fantastic restaurant.

This is a grand old house that is best described as well lived in. Needs a bit of updating. The pool needs some attention. Not at all inviting. I don’t understand why they don’t just get an expert in to give it a thorough clean without doing it themselves.
The staff are wonderful.

Stellenbosch with its town, restaurants and surrounding...
Stellenbosch with its town, restaurants and surrounding wineries are an absolute must while visiting South Africa. If you want a superb steak, go to The Fat Butcher. If you want a superb fish and chips to go Genki. If you want stunning views and great coffee visit Hidden Valley Winery. If you want stunning views and great wine, coffee and food visit Ernie Els Winery.
Lovely old world hotel in the middle of town, which is where you want to be when visiting Stellenbosch. Close to all shops and restaurants. The rooms are a good size, we had a bath in ours which was great! Beautiful hotel, lovely cosy lounge area for a drink and to read a good book. The pool area is a bit small, but perfect under the huge old oak trees. We had dinner at the restaurant, the food was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.
A gorgeous, cozy and idyllic stay tucked away in the mountains, a few mins. drive from Central Stellenbosch.
With all the best vineyards in Stellenbosch and Franschoek a short distance away, this property was one of my fav. finds in SA! Tastefully and beautifully decorated, we were welcomed with chocolates, light snacks and wine.
Jane (House Owner) is warm and welcoming and left clear instructions for checkin.
Hope to visit again, for sure.
I was originally booked into the self catering section which does not have Wifi on load shedding which was a problem as i had to work. The staff were exceptional in moving me into the hotel so i could work comfortably. The parking of hte hotel is a real problem. can accommodate 5 very small cars at a push and is not well signposted at all. Ask the staff to stand outside the hotel and show you how to get into the parking.
The property is handy for Stellenbosch and surrounding areas. There is plenty of parking - although some way from the premises. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough. A highlight was the restaurant. Our evening meal was excellent as was breakfast. We had stayed in a number of other excellent hotels over that period - and The Devon Valley food shone above the others.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in for a very long time. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the staff were lovely, the facilities were excellent and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend and will definitely book again if we make our way through Stellenbosch again. Could not fault anything! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly . Went out of their way to organise a lovely restaurant in stellenbosch and taxi service for us as restaurant in Alluvia closed on the night . Their kindness excelled . Allowed us to sit by the pool after checkout . Was very impressed with all. Well done everybody . 5 *
Cute little hotel in Stellenbosch. Comfortable, clean and walking distance from a bunch of restaurants. Breakfast is good, mostly baked goods and coffee/tea. It got kind of crowded a few days but in general it wasnt too bad. Staff is great as well, very helpful. Also just a 20 min uber to cape town (less than 10 dollars).
It was 10 minutes drive outside of Stellenbosch, but beautiful views. The unit had aircon and wifi, fully equipt kitchen and Nespresso with compostable pods, which we appreciated. The pool was also lovely, but you need to drive/walk the 700m to the hotel. Wood was supplied for braai and bonfire in large firepit bowls.
friendly and welcoming management, and I stayed in a beautiful room (a suite) with quality linen and thoughtful extra touches. The breakfast was average. The guest house is quite far from restuarants but in a beautiful leafy part of stellenbosch. I’ll definitely stay again!
The property was gorgeous- modern, clean, great design however what made our stay one to remember were the staff. Impeccable service, one we have not seen across any 5 star hotel weve been to
Excellent location and facilities close to Stellenbosch and other main attractions. Ideal for family stay over at quiet, scenic location with adequate self catering facilities
There is a room with a big TV where we could watch the rugby. There is also a microwave and cutlery which is very convenient. Hotel is close to Stellenbosch and restaurants.
Nice big space, fully functional for self catering if needed. Close to stellenbisch Central. Underground parking, 24hr security. Amazing breakfast served in wink cafe
Bernice is a very friendly host of this nice guesthouse located within walking distance of the centre of Stellenbosch.
Everything was great. Would recommend.
