Located in a quiet oceanfront area on the island of Averøy, this former Bacalao (salt modified and dried cod) factory has been restored into a rustic guesthouse. Easily the best place I have stayed at in Norway (but I’ve been mostly camping and staying at hostels). This place had everything. Cute location, beautiful waterfront few, cosy ocean decorations, in-room kitchen and shower (with sharp knives!), free laundry, top-notch friendly and casual staff with lots of local knowledge of Norwegian culture, a downstairs restaurant serving local food… I really wish I stayed here for a much longer time, but I had to get on the road again.

This hotel is located next to the Atlantic Ocean Road on the beautiful island of Håholmen. It offers unique fishing trips, sea safaris and boat cruises. This is a magical place.. what a beautiful experience. Thank you staff for making it more special.

Tästä spa-hotellista avautuu näköala Geirangerinvuonolle. Hotellissa on kattopuutarha sekä ilmainen pysäköintialue, ja sen huoneissa on ilmainen WiFi, minibaari ja tv. Great location, beautiful scenic walk by the waterfall to the village or trail paths from the front door for more energetic hikes. Hotel was lovely, staff were great. For dinner I opted for pizza in the bar area which was delicious, and breakfast was excellent. Pool area was also great.

Sijainti erittäin näppärä. Keskusta ja Aksla helpon kävelymatkan päässä. Aamiainen erittäin monipuolinen ja runsas. Toki myös hiukan ruuhkainen ja hälyinen.

In the village of Sæbø with its dramatic views of the Sunnmørsalpene mountains and Hjørundfjorden, this waterfront hotel comes with its own restaurant and free Wi-Fi. Location was great. Staff was super friendly. Hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable.
