Alastair gave us several tips and indications of good restaurants in town. His availability to solve a little problem was also perfect and responsive. We can only recommend this experience.

Our dinner choices of duck confit/sausage as appetizer and a most delicious venison, main course, paired with a Romanian Pinot Noir were an excellent choice. The hotel’s isolated location at the end of a long one-way road was truly magnificent.

Situated in the town of Pitlochry, Atholl Villa Guest House is a privately owned Victorian building, offering views of Ben Vrackie. It has free parking and retains many original features, such as open fireplaces and wooden sash windows. Very nice and clean rooms. It must be newly renovated. Loved the shower! The breakfast was served in a cosy room and the The full Scottish breakfast was yummie! Very sweet and friendly staff! It is very close to the town-center, like 2 minutes, and the town is so cute, we had unfortunately very little time to stay there but we went to the fish ladder which was interesting and it was a nice walk.
