Architecture & Atmosphere The property is designed to resemble a historic Omani fort, complete with high mud-brick style walls, crenelated turrets, and heavy wooden doors adorned with brass studs. The courtyard is spacious and serene, paved with natural stone and framed by majestic mountains in the distance. The landscaping is beautiful, with yellow-flowering trees and palms creating dappled shade over the walkways—perfect for a quiet morning stroll. The Rooms The rooms are a highlight of the stay. They masterfully blend earthy, traditional aesthetics with modern needs: • Design: The interior features textured walls and incredible live-edge wooden furniture. The headboards are massive, natural slabs of wood that act as art pieces. • Comfort: The bedding looks crisp, white, and inviting. Despite the historic look, the room is equipped with modern conveniences like electronic key card access, modern lighting controls, and plenty of power outlets. • Amenities: You'll find thoughtful touches like a prayer rug, an iron/ironing board tucked into a niche, and a well-stocked tea/coffee station. The Bathroom The bathroom design is particularly striking. It feels like a spa, featuring a heavy stone vessel sink sitting on a raw wooden vanity. The patterned floor tiles add a splash of color and character, contrasting beautifully with the natural wood tones. It includes modern necessities like a backlit mirror and high-quality fixtures. Outdoor Spaces The outdoor common areas are inviting and relaxing.

Host and all staff were absolutely amazing and the location was perfect - this was a truly magical experience and we will be back for sure.

Koofan heritage house is amazing! It was built in 1880 and it retains its traditional character. It is built of thick stone and decorated in traditional furniture. It has modern conveniences such as air conditioning and fully functioning plumbing but still retains an old feel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. However, if you are looking for luxury like a Hilton please don’t come here. It is for someone who wants a taste of the past. You eat a traditional breakfast in the morning across from the old fort and really get to know the employees. You get to meet the owner and feel like you are staying as a guest at his house.

Excellent Hotel! the feeling that time stops there. the Staff is very polite, not obsessive, the clear distance between visitors and stuff. Honestly, Oman itself is not "spoiled" with heavy touristic flow , the normal level of visitors. we stayed 3 days inside without leaving outside, enjoying staying on the beach, sea, walking in the water, and looking the splendid sunsets. really in "light shok" that haven't visit this country before. now, i have recommended the Hotel to my colleagues, 2 already stayed there and enjoyed as well, and i will fly their myself once have free time ( from Dubai it takes abt 40 minutes)!

The property was very clean and the caretaker (Mr. Sajjad) was very helpful. The property is about 200 meters away from the sand dunes. The views from the property during the morning and night are equally spectacular. There is a road for cars that are NOT 4x4 to reach the property as well. However, it’s best to contact the owner for guidance. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The surroundings are clean. The owner was very friendly and polite. We loved our stay!

Very good breakfast, rich variety of different cousines…

This was a great way to get a bit deeper into the dune sea and enjoy a world away from the usual urban hustle-bustle. There was only one other couple there on the night I stayed. The food was great and watching the sunset over the dunes was spectacular. They also arranged a camel ride at the closer-in camp, and this was also a new experience that I was looking to have while in the desert.

Spotless, newly constructed hotel right in the middle of the city. Close to Oman Avenues Mall, Mall of Oman, and Qurum, and a few minutes drive to Matrah. There is plenty of parking space below too. The receptionts and staff especially Mehmood are accommodating, attentive, and swift to fulfilling your requests. The room assigned to us was big and enough for 3 people. The sofa bed can be easily transormed to another cozy bed to accommodate 1 adult or 2 kids. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby too. Will stay here again when we come back.
