It's a bit off the main touristic area of Varkala and that's definitely nice. Really close to small calm beaches. And in 10 mins you can walk to the north cliff with many other restaurants and Ayurveda/Yoga-Places. Cottage super clean with good AC, very comfy bed, warm shower. Staff extremely nice, relaxed nad friendly atmosphere with everyone. Will come back one day.

We stayed in the tree house at Kalidasa for 3 nights, what a truly magical experience we had! The accommodation in the treehouse is basic, clean and comfortable, but the setting and the hospitality of Sudheesh and his family are exceptional. Their recommended driver, Namshi, organised all our transport and arranged safaris for us. Sudheesh’s wife and mother produced delicious home cooked meals and Sudheesh was very happy to share his extensive knowledge of the area. They made our stay, in what is already a really beautiful place, as good as it could be. If you get chance to have a massage whilst you’re there, do, it’s another great experience! For a genuine local and back to nature experience, we highly recommend this place.
