The property was in a great area not far from different food options. My favorite spot was the tiki bar.

The bartender named Butch needs to be fired. He only attended to his local favorites. He drank a shot with the musician: totally unprofessional. The maid forgot to service our room on Sunday.

I absolutely loved the location and rental area. The houseboats barely rocked and I didn’t have any issues with my sensitivity to motion. The beds were very very comfortable.

I liked that the place was well maintained, super clean and lots of space.
Also the front desk receptionist a young cuban men employee was extremely attentive, also he spoke Spanish and even offered coffee and goods from the breakfast station for the kids. He was extremely sweet and nice, answered all questions and went beyond to make our stay perfect. The manager was also attentive as well answered all questions and was very helpful too.

Hidden gem. Beach was great. Staff super friendly. It was like an airbnb without the fees. It was a cottage with a separate bedroom and then jitchen and sofa area with a screened in p I rch. I originally did not look at this when it popped up on booking.com., out of my price range. But then booking.com made a huge booking error (and did not compensate us for it). Then I book this. Next time I am looking for an airbnb I will look this one up.

Very nice place for kayaking and snorkeling. For sure you will see Robbie's that is the place to go to organize and do everything but be very much aware! We went there for dinner, feeding the tarpoons and to chill and as long as we brought money everything was fine. We were independently Kayaking close by and the owner of Robbie approached us in a rough, unfriendly way as soon as he realized we had private kayaks not from him.. We were having some floating issues and he was completely disrespectful also with risk for our safety...
Luckly the staff at Robbie's are amazing! While the owner can only see $$, $$ before humans

The Islander resort delivered a beautiful beach with great views. Our suite was very updated with design features. The bar service on the beach was wonderful. At night and early in the morning the private patio was a wonderful retreat. There were a lot of local restaurants to choose from, but the bar and restaurant on site were very good as well. We spent one day at Theatre of the Sea. The dolphin show and exhibits were very enjoyable. We will return.

If you don't have plans on the water, there is pretty much nothing to do. You need access to a boat and good weather to enjoy multiple days here. Everything we planned got cancelled because of the wind (snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing). We basically went to the diving museum, watched tv, and went out to eat. Definitely visit Lorelei's or the Morada Bay Cafe for awesome views. Midway cafe is the GOAT, order ahead for even faster service. Don't come here for the beaches, you'll be disappointed.

Islamorado in December was good for kayaking but probably would be a little cool for most water sports. Seems to be more of a fishing area. Good restaurant options. Be prepared for traffic on Highway 1 if you are traveling by car. We had dinner at Lorelei’s, good atmosphere and great service on the beach but food was just average. We also had dinner at Lazy Days. Food was better here but service was not. Had breakfast at Mangrove Mikes. Huge portions, (enough to share) and was very good with even gluten free options. Also had breakfast at F’ing bagels. Great food and service but options were more limited that a regular diner. We kayaked in the mangroves with Keys Kayaks and Jade was a great host. Didn’t see manatees or much wildlife but it was still a great experience. Betsy the lobster is a good photo op.

The resort was wonderful. Very relaxing.
The resort was wonderful. Very relaxing. Especially liked that they texted each day to see if we needed anything. Islamorada was beautiful. We enjoyed all the restaurants we visited. Staff at all of them were very friendly. Only thing we didn’t enjoy was the traffic. It was hard getting out on the main road from the different places. But we would go back

Islamorada is a charming village, with magnificent beaches.
Islamorada is a charming village, with magnificent beaches. Only thing that surprised me is that most restaurants close at 9 pm so it was not easy to eat one evening. But I would have stayed much longer.
The pool was packed when we arrived at the end of the day. Not a chair to spare. Thankfully, we were able to head to the beach and watch a storm come in. It rained for our entire visit at the resort. We ate at the Tiki Hut until we were drenched even sitting under the thatched roof. We relocated indoors to finish our meal and order additional food. It wasn't the same as being outdoors yet, it was nice that this hotel offered an indoor dining opportunity.
PROS: very friendly front desk staff. We had flight issues and needed to stay one more night and one woman went out of her way to contact several nearby hotels to see if they had availability. <3
Cool rooms - with couch, kitchenette w/fridge, stove, micro, sink, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, etc. Within walking distance of restaurants/bars which we love! Also, a very friendly kitty on site visited us!
Loved the location of our first floor king bed studio. Right on the beach. Beach full of hammocks chairs and tables to make sunset views exceptional. New beautiful pool. I was actually the first guest ever to go in the pool ... it opened the day we arrived. They provide kayaks (my first time) and bicycles. Looking forward to returning with family and or friends ❤️
The resort exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The hotel was absolutely great, the rooms was big and very comfortable, the pool was very nice and the beach had a very romantic touch. We also loved the beach bar and the food and the drinks were fantastic. We definitely want to come back to the Amara Cay Resort once again.
It’s a town home and we are a group of five. So it’s nice to stay in one place together. First time we stayed it smelled dank and moldy. but thats not the hotels fault. guests like leaving the doors open and that salty humid air does damage. This time around the town home smelled pleasant and was cleaned well enough.
Our room had a sea view and an enormous bed. We enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the sunset, followed by lightning in the distance with a bottle of wine.
Try the Islamorada brewery across the road. Great beer and food. Do try the cocktails, especially the Bold Fashioned and the beer battered alligator 🐊
great location on the beach but construction noise and dust that we were not told about they moved our room but still in a noisy location not willing to move us to a better location gave us a few dollars of our bill but not the point disappointing but liked the hotel.
The Fisher Inn Resort & Marina is a nice and relaxing place for a get away. We enjoyed the balcony, the beds are super comfy and they offer some great resort amenities. The continental breakfast was better than expected and the hotel staff are friendly.
Room was comfortable and clean. The price could have been a little cheaper for the room but over all great stay! Check in clerk was very nice! Room was comfy and bathroom was up to date. Would stay again in the future.
So peaceful, beautiful location. Staff friendly and welcoming. Location amazing, right on the beach, lots of natural shade and if you are not a sunbather there are bikes, paddle boards and kayaks free to use.
Beautiful grounds and a great beach. We were in the unmodernised part of the hotel which was clean and comfortable.
The swimming pool area was good and the staff on poolside very attentive.
Great location. Very clean, well looked after boutique hotel.
Rooms were spacious The pool area is really nice and open late!
We loved our stay. A special find in Islamorada.
Great location in the Islamorada area, exceptionally clean, beautiful views from the property of the ocean. Just a great place to stay…relax, swim in the pool.
