Magical throwback in history. We felt (a little) like we were living in a place that time forgot. Staying right in the castle fortifications was truly one of our greatest moments in travel. Don't change thing. Really rating is 9.5. They even provided fresh bread in the morning (hung on the terrace door).

The location is what makes this place very special. You are literally inside a walled castle area located on top of a small mountain with incredible views in every direction. It is both comfortable and rustic at the same time, with history all around you. Our night, I believe we were the only ones in the castle area. Very comfortable lodgings and well equipped kitchen. Continental style breakfast was supplied and was ample. Friendly and helpful management/owners.

The house was uniquely authentic and just what we were looking for in this hundreds of years old village. The cobblestone streets and stone buildings were all fascinating to experience.

The staff answered all questions and went out of the way to fulfill any needs that I had, including travel needs. The breakfast was exceptional and extensive. I extended my visit because of the National Holiday and they provided me with the same kindness and respect with no compromise. They even provided laundry services.

Very good location just a short walk from the castle (and from Dom Sancho restaurant inside the walls, which was terrific). House was nice and quiet, impeccably clean, breakfast was excellent.

The cute little property is in a great location and is easy to find. The rooms are clean and there is a lovely common area for guests. The host gave us a book on the area and helped us find an open restaurant when we arrived late. Breakfast was a nice variety of bread, ham, cheese, fruit, juice and coffee.

We loved the authenticity of O Cantinho da Ana and would definitely stay there again. When we drove to this village, we were beginning to think we were on the wrong road, then we crested a hill and suddenly were in the midst of a charming castle village. O Cantinho da Ana was clean, well stocked, and had a comfortable, big bed. Nice modern facilities in an a “middle age” village. There was a lovely outdoor seating area for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Every detail has been well executed. We regret not staying longer. There is also a restaurant nearby

Cool little village within the old castle walls. We stayed the night but a day visit (1 or 2 hours) would be more than enough time to enjoy this place. If in the area definitely worth the time to visit.
