Nazaré is beautiful. It's a great place to chill and watch the sea. The beach is wide and clean. All the restaurants and bars in the area (that we tried) were great. Shopkeepers were kind and helpful. Be sure to get up to the Lighthouse and check out the Surf Museum. Super cool. It's 2eu to get in and totally worth it. The views up there are awesome. Seriously, I have not one negative thing to say about it.

Nazare was wonderful. I wear accommodations were great.
Nazare was wonderful. I wear accommodations were great. Gil the manager was amazing with us. In fact my friend left her coat in the closet. When they cleaned the room he found it and sent me messages and mailed it to a spot where we could pick it up. That was amazing.
The apartment was adorable It was perfect for our purposes the view from one bedroom of the ocean was amazing. The view off the kitchen balcony was great and we could see the ocean as well. This is a perfect apartment for two people sometimes for.
I would certainly book that again if I were to be in that area. Thank you

Quaint little town with local vibes, great for a few days visit. It was very chilled and quiet and surrounded by beautiful forest. Cuisine is mainly fish and seafood, though there are plenty of Italian and meat places. Also choc a block with gelaterias!!! We caught Carnaval and it was fun to see the cavalcade and the locals dressed up.

What I liked best was seeing the big wave surf contest.
What I liked best was seeing the big wave surf contest. There were these amazing and huge 20-50 ft waves that arrived in sets located near the lighthouse on the cliff at the North Beach while I was in Nazare. The beach was also very nice and wide both north and south of the lighthouse. The sunsets were spectacular, and I enjoyed watching the sun set while drinking wine and people watching at the little beachside restaurants. I also enjoyed walking down south to the marina and going north to the surf museum at the lighthouse on the big cliff in the town of Sitio. The local bus only cost €1.50 to ride from Nazare (near the central market) to Sitio where the lighthouse is located. The traditional food (seafood) was really fresh and I liked that the tradition of fish drying that is done by the fish ladies was still being practiced.

Great beach but the real action is on the hill in Sitio...
Great beach but the real action is on the hill in Sitio where there are the great surf waves to be seen in the winter months and the very impressive display of surf boards and photos of the guys who've surfed the world's biggest waves in Nazare,

One of the nicest towns we've visited during our stay in...
One of the nicest towns we've visited during our stay in Portugal. Long and wide beach, amazing views, all the restaurants and cafes close by. Mind that we were there in February, so it wasn't that crowded.
Antonio and his wife were awesome. There was a lot of rain and the arrival time got delayed for us. When we arrived our GPS took us a few blocks away from the apartment. Antonio helped us navigate to his place. They showed us everything we needed to know and had a bottle of wine and some muffins on the table waiting for us. It was greatly appreciated and enjoyed. While we were only in Nazare for a day, we did check out some sights and it is worth a stop when in Portugal.
Room and bathroom were very clean. Comfortable beds. Rm 303 was cosy with a great view to Nazare beach, a one-minute walk away. Many restaurants in the area. Good wifi. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They had reserved a parking space for us (very important even though it's the end of November!) and walked with us to the spot, insisting to carry our small bags. Heating was fast, efficient and much appreciated on a very cold, wintry night.
The apartment had balcony and huge door-window towards ocean filling room with light and sound of ocean waves. Apartment had all needed equipment in kitchen if one wishes to cook/eat in room. There was a pool, but we did not use it as weather was warm and ocean called us more.
This was one of the best places to stay in whole Portugal and worth of every penny we paid.
Everything was absolut perfect!! Starting with port wine and pastel de nata as a welcome gift. The view from the balcony is amazing! Directly in front of the house is e big parking place. The aparment is charming and has everithing you ever need. The bed ist confortable compared to other houses we have been to in Portugal. Thanks Amélia for everything!
I recommend Quinta do Campo to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the history of Portugal. A grand and important property still in family ownership being carefully renovated.
the owner is very generous with access to family living spaces.
Drove in to Nazaré for dinner and had fantastic seafood there.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Beautiful little apartment near the beach. We were able to do laundry, though we had to air dry, which took over 24 hours. Did not take advantage of the kitchen because there were so many good restaurant options nearby. LOVED Nazare!! Just had a fabulous time.
room was decent size, clean, and had the best view overlooking the beach, atlantic and lighthouse.
nazare is an amazing place, i prefer it so much more to algarve...more authentic portuguese than many of resorts in the south.
definitely going back.
staff very nice also.
This place fit the bill. Well-priced, the rooms are simple but up-to-date with new baths, space for phone chargers and a small balcony. Literally steps from the main Nazare beach and restaurants. It's also walking distance from the funicular up to Sitio.
I'm Sofia, a solo traveler who recently visited the By the Beach Hotel in Nazaré, Portugal. While the location is excellent and the room was clean and had a small view of the ocean, my experience was marred by a series of unsettling events.
Very friendly and helpful staff,
The free parking service from the hotel near by
The location of the hotel is very good, close to the beach, restaurants and also the elevator to the higher part of Nazaré
Absolutely! The host was very nice, the guest house was clean, tidy and cozy! The cafe near has got the best risotto and octopus in Portugal, it’s called Esmeralda. Definitely recommend the guest house!
The room was amazing and with the sea view.
We love it.
After that the hospitality was higher than our expectations.
I think that coming back in Nazaré we'll decide to stay in Oceano's Hotel.
The property was full-equipped and very cozy. The host was amiable and helpful. I live in Portugal and I can confirm that the property is high value for good money. I 100% recommend booking.
Superb location and a magnificent apartment, would love to actually live there! Plus parking is available, a plus in Portugal. Excellent communication with the host.
I like the hotel it’s close to everything it’s very clean breakfast is good it’s close to the beach I like it so much I stay there every year when I go to Portugal
This is a beautiful hotel, located within walking distance of the centre and beach of nazare, with friendly personel and an excellent breakfast ....... however
