We loved everything about this place! Our host Joaquin was incredibly generous with his time and their dog Noemi greeted us each day. Breakfast was awesome and the bed and room was comfortable and well appointed. The property is gorgeous and close to Guarda, Serra da Estrela and the historic medieval villages. Skip the big cities and spend more time in this region. The people and scenery are amazing!
Additionally, we visited in the winter and were concerned about heating. The units have modern mini-splits we were very comfortable.

The service at the front desk. Booking.com made a mistake on the dates....I was double booked. The hotel did what they could to rectify the issue, however getting a timely response from Booking.com was the problem. Margarita was fabulous!!!

It was a giant apartment. Super clean. Felt like a home. Easy check in with keys supplied in a lock box. Plenty of parking right in front of the building. There is a grocery store two blocks away.

I am delighted to share my experience staying at the apartments. Our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The apartments provided everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The fully equipped kitchen was a highlight for us, as it allowed us to prepare meals just like we would at home. We found all the necessary utensils and appliances, making cooking a breeze. It was wonderful to have the option to dine together as a family in the spacious living room, where we could also unwind and enjoy playing board games in the evenings.
The bathroom was another standout feature. The large bathtub was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring, and the convenient shower made getting ready hassle-free.
The location of the apartments couldn't have been more convenient. With several restaurants nearby, we had plenty of dining options within walking distance. Additionally, being within a 20-30 minute drive from multiple resorts in Austria, Switzerland, and Italy, we had easy access to a variety of attractions and activities.

We only stayed one night in this beautiful place on our way to porto. The owner met us there and was so welcoming. we asked him could he recommend a local restaurant it was just a few minutes away and the food was so good. Definitely stay here if you are exploring the Guarda area. Best place we have stayed in a long time.
The lady who greeted us, showed us to our room and was present at breakfast was delightful! Had it not been for the dreadful weather, I feel sure we would have felt even more positive. The restaurant recommended - just opposte the hotel ("Nobre") was our bext dinner of the whole week .

Rooms are a bit small, beds and pillows are stiff. Bathrooms are ok but showers are small. Good but limited (no eggs) breakfast, very good service.
Its an old stylish hotel, really well located, cleaning service provided everyday and the breakfast is acceptable. The price is really affordable. We could manage to park the car around the hotel without the necessity to pay but is a question of luck.
