Quiet place with limited options other than relaxing on the beach or in the hotel pool. The town is quite small. There are diving, snorkelling options, but my time was too short to avail myself of them. Restaurants are limited and you need to like sea food!

Ngwe Saung is a beautiful tropical beach on the Bay of Bengal. Although it's still a 6-8 hour bumpy trip by hired car to get there, it is the closest beach to Yangon. There are also buses that go there. The beach itself is unspoiled and clean. The tourist infrastructure gets better every time I go there - more restaurants and great seafood. Hurry up and go there before it gets overdeveloped! I would think that getting around would be difficult if you had your own car, especially if you are staying away from the center - but if you are looking for a holiday to plop down and stay at the beach all day - this is the ideal place to go.

    Great spot lovely location.

Great spot lovely location. Service at some restaurants was sub-par. Not comparing to American standards but even for SEA. Great sunset, safe vibes. only negative was I wanted to get a massage and I'm a black person and the workers looked at me like I was a leper. I ended up leaving MUCH to their relief. It kinda sucks that that still happens.

A village with overprised hotels, where you can do nothing except to go to the islands or in the joungle. But if the weather is'nt fine, you only can sit in some restaurant.. The beach is very nice, but ful of garbage..

The main idea here is the beach.

The main idea here is the beach. But boy, it is worth the trip when you stay in Yangon.. I rarely travel by car for 7 hours, but it is fantastic to know that there is beautiful beach waiting for you if you like.. no flying by plane and it can be a spontaneous trip, too! There's a spot for walking, there's a spot for playing with the waves.. I haven't found one spot that is great for both. Each spot has its own uniqueness.. But I only been there once and it is exciting to explore As we go there spontaneously, we couldn't stay at one resort. Surprisingly this brings joy... we can enjoy two unique places and see the beauty of their own in limited days.. Depending on your style of travel. I travel with family, so traveling by our private car is easier to go round and about. I read that you can go there by bus. I saw bajaj (three wheelers) around. I saw public area (all beaches are public btw), where people will come and cross to the Lover's Island. So there must be some transportation to go there, even though the area is surrounded by resorts. Main activities: at the beach. Play with the waves, riding mpv - horses, swimming at the pool. No loud music around.. that's nice...

The hotel is well located. In a quiet place. Very nice beach. The bungalow is located directly next to the beach. From the window you can clearly hear the sound of the surf. The hotel staff is very friendly and tries to help. Breakfast is not very varied, but everything is good and you won’t leave hungry. The staff helped call a tuk-tuk, and at the end there was a small gift as a surprise.
