Situated just steps from Monreale Cathedral, very clean and extremely comfortable bed. Paola gave us very clear information how to go to Palermo by bus, ( which we preferred instead of driving in a very busy city). She also gave us very good advice to park our car at Parcheggio Comunale, which is very close to the property. We really enjoyed our stay and if we come back in the future we will not hesitate to stay again here.

Family is from the area. Back to see Italian cousins. Monreale is a beautiful community.

Monreale is a city built on the side of the mountain, so be prepared to walk up hills and stairs! The big attraction there is the Duomo in the main square which is just beautiful in the inside as the artwork is done in gold! You will have to pay an entrance fee, but it is worth it. The streets can be a bit of challenge to navigate as there are street vendors, cars, vespas, bicycles and pedestrians all trying maneuver through the narrow streets. Monreale gives you a beautiful view of Palermo and the ocean.

We spent only an afternoon here, but so glad that we included it on our trip. The cathedral was the most beautiful we had seen on our trip to Italy - we also visited ones in Palermo, Cefalu, and Catania. There were several interesting restaurants on side streets near the town center and we found a lovely ceramic/mosaic shop just off the central square. Views were amazing and it was an easy car ride to the airport for our departure the next day.

Although you can get in the cathedral free to see the mosaics, I would suggest you get the inclusive tickets (€12) to see the Cloister, the Cathedral, the Sanctuary and get up to the roof for a fantastic view of the Cloister and the town.

For us the cathedral was the centrepiece, why we were there, and the 12th century mosaics were stunning. We also enjoyed seeing the cathedral packed with young, local families, after hundreds of years still a centre for the local community

The Duomo both inside and outside is spectacular.
The Duomo both inside and outside is spectacular. The small town itself is very picturesque as well, with some great little restaurants (e.g. Pepers and pizzeria Antica de Guillermo opposite the main entrance to the Duomo) and beautiful views of Palermo in the distance. It's a good place to stay as you avoid the pain of driving in the busy centre of Palermo. You can leave the car in Monreale and take a 20-minute bus ride into the centre for €1,40 one way. You get the bus tickets from any tobacconist.

The cathedral is breath-taking and worth a trip unto itself, but Monreale is also an ideal staging point for trips into nearby Palermo. We had great food and sight-seeing within Monreale itself and took advantage of a good bus system to spend a day in Palermo. It was easy to do and we enjoyed everything we did here.
Lovely house with antique furniture and a garden area with secure parking. Our room had a balcony with a partial view of the sea. The owners were very welcoming and tried hard to find us a restaurant for dinner but it was Monday and most places were closed, so we walked uphill to the centre of town and eventually found somewhere suitable. The b&b is well situated for visiting Monreale as long as you don't mind climbing uphill or driving. Breakfast was very good.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space. Fairly roomy bathroom with a walk-in shower. The large balcony has a view on facing buildings and the mountain.
Waking distance from very good restaurants and the old Monreale and its cathedral (which is worth visiting).
Be advised that there is no elevator in this building and that the staircase is somewhat narrow for the topmost room - not an issue if you’re in good shape but can be problematic for some.
This hotel was such a great find in Monreale. The host is friendly, helpful, and speaks good English. It’s surprisingly modern, with Chromecast on every TV, nice for relaxing in the room. And for the incredible included breakfast, you just order on your phone the day before and it’s waiting for you in the dining room the next morning. Everything so delicious. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we returned to Monreale.
The family that owns and manages this hotel are outstanding! They were the nicest people and super accomidating. . Emanuela has a true servants heart.
This is not a stuffy, pretentious hotel, but a family friendly hotel in a natural environment filled with orange, lemon and olive trees. The patio Is immense with an outstanding view..... a place to relax with family and friends.
Exceptionally clean and the room smelled so fresh and sweet! There is attention to detail and no dust or anything found even on shelves. The host was friendly and breakfast DELICIOUS!!! Best cappuccino I have had in awhile. Plus it was a family room so we had enough room for all of us and we were all together. Very close to Monreale Duomo. Very easy to get to with secured parking.
The breakfast was home made cakes and pastries, jams and juice from the garden and great coffee.
The host went above and beyond sharing her family home and knowledge of the local area. A peaceful location outside the busy centre of Palermo and 5 minute drive away from Monreale with a great vibe and amazing cathedral. We will recommend to our friends and will visit again.
We were a little lost and suddenly I see a man waving at me from the street. That’s how we met Paolo. The room, hospitality, vista was terrific. The location was directly across from the Monreale cathedral. Breakfast!! Imagine being on a terrific terrace overlooking the countryside with delectable treats and fruit. What a gem of a place, with a terrific host.
The owners were a wonderful couple who provided dining and sightseeing suggestions and guidance everyday. Ample parking was a plus. Walking distance to Monreale Duomo, cafes and restaurants. Ample delicious breakfast. Wonderfully decorated house and rooms with beautiful garden and terraces. Stay here if Monreale is your destination.
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and happy! They provided everything we needed, even a space to work(!), and all with a big smile! The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. the pool and the view from the hotel are incredible! If i go again to Sicily- i wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
The location in the heart on Monreale in an old palazzo with great character and wonderful views was excellent and Paolo was a most courteous and helpful host. The breakfast sitting on a terrace with a spectacular vista will linger long in the memory.
Wonderful location, high above the city of Palermo. Great views. Parking well off the street. A large room with a sitting area. I didn't eat there but the hotel's restaurant is clearly very popular on a Saturday night.
The room was clean and tidy. The self-service breakfast was rich. Free parking on the site. Good location, but only reachable by car. We walked to Monreale Cathedral on feet, but this appeared not that simple.
The owner was really nice and helpful. We got many tips for great restaurants around the area. The location is fantastic, it takes just few minutes to get to the centrum of Monreale.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Monreale this is a great place. Very friendly and helpful family. The room and pool area are modern and cozy decorated.
Fantastic location in centre of Monreale. Paola was very accommodating re check-in and check-out times. Excellent breakfast. Clean rooms and good shower!
