The location was perfect for exploring Kinsale. Everything was close enough to walk to. The staff were great - friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and the number of choices incredible. You could have just juice or tea or coffee and yoghurt or some fabulous cooked options. Also like that there was a pool and workout facility and parking at the hotel

Peter is a wonderful host. He carried our heavy bags up to our room. The hotel is located very conveniently in town, we could walk everywhere. Breakfast was delicious and served by a charming assistant.

The location to the city center truly was a 3-minute walk and gorgeous along the way. Danabel was good at communicating and flexible when our flight was delayed and had us arrive later than expected.

It was disastrous, my wife decided to go down the town for a walk around as she was walking she noticed foreigners watching her every move and they then started to pair up and follow her, she felt so threatened that she had to go into spar shop and wait for me to collect her. Would never visit there again.

Kinsale is beautiful and quaint, with fantastic food options considering the town's size; however, the traffic was surprising considering it was not "high season." Of course, spring breakers may have contributed, but a small town/village cannot sustain that many cars. It is sad to see so much construction going on, too, and hope the charm of Kinsale does not get swallowed up by consumerism.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away.
Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away. There are several excellent restaurants where you will have unforgettable experiences. The Black Pig and Finns Farmcut are amazing. Breakfast can be hit or miss, The Lemon Leaf and OHK were excellent. If the weather allows the walk out to Charles Fort is lovely, with a pint of Murphy’s at the Bulmans. The views at the Old Head of Kinsale are breathtaking, and Garretstown Beach is stunning. The tour and tasting at Kinsale Mead is fascinating and a unique highlight. Be careful choosing where to stay, as standards are not reflected by star ratings, and the centre can be noisy. Parking is challenging with two hour max at the central car park, better at SuperValu but you’ll need to move your car overnight.

We arrived later in the evening but were welcomed wonderfully. If you drive to the hotel, know that parking is only what you find on the street. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was nice.
There isn't an elevator available so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were, be prepared to pull your bags up the stairs.
Be sure to book a paid breakfast with your room reservation. It was soooo good and one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks. A good breakfast gave us the energy to tackle a busy day.
Kinsale is a lovely town and even mid-week on a foggy fall day, we loved walking around.

Kinsale is a picturesque hilly harbourside town with great shops and restaurants. We had beautiful weather enjoyed walking around the town and took the harbor cruise. There were lots of good restaurants (a few require reservations way ahead), lively pubs, and various take-away food options. We stayed 2 nights, but only had 1 full day to explore the town. The roads into town are extremely steep & narrow, so we were happy to be able to park once at our guest house and not drive again till we left. Taxis are almost impossible to find. We ate at Fishy Fishy (had reservations months ahead) our first night and at the Blue Haven Restaurant & Bistro the second night. The live music was great. We heard great things about the Ghost Tour, but didn't have time for that. Parking can be an issue so make sure your guesthouse/hotel has parking. Stop at the Tourism office for great suggestions.
Lovely breakfast - I loved the stewed fruit with youghurt; adds that bit of something over just a full Irish, served in a lovely room and the staff there were very friendly. Well spaced out in times of covid.
The soap dispensers are a great idea - love the sustainability.
Good coffee and tea facilities in the room. Bed was very comfortable, room not noisy. Great sleep over all. The bath robes (no slippers) were a lovely touch.
Location is superb. The hotel itself looks lovely.
After spending a week staying in hotel rooms and eating in restaurants, having a few days in a house with a large kitchen where we could cook our own food was fantastic. There is a grocery store less than five minutes away with a car. The 3 bed, 3 bath townhouse is brand new and located outside of the city center so it is quiet. There is also private parking. Mark and Eileen were attentive wonderful hosts (thank you for the fresh lilies and tulips on the table).
I love the coffee station and the ice maker and glasses was a real treat that some high end hotels don't even offer so this is a wonderful touch. Rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean. I loved the balcony too which had a lovely view. Brilliantly located although parking was a slight issue, we got the last space in the free car park a minute walk from The Pier but after quite a wait but overall, a lovely spot. Anne was lovely too.
nice clean bright room. We overlooked a childrens playground which was quite noisy. The location is brilliant, and can walk to the centre in a few minutes. On the night of arrival we didnt eat out. There was a chipper a couple of doors up (Dino's) Would go back just for their fish and chips. Weather was lovely. We had a wedding in the Trident Hotel, which was on the doorstep so a very enjoyable experience in Kinsale.
first- The young man that checked us in was very professional, polite and helpful. We booked several rooms for a family trip and all were comfortable, and very clean. An old gworgian design the hotel had real charm and is located in a great place to visit Kinsale. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and again, the entire staff (a fmily affair) were perfect hosts. We wish we would have scheduled more time in Kinsale.
Maeve was very welcoming and helpful! Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and a delicious breakfast in the morning with lots of variety in the menu and fresh fruit and home baked bread! The BnB is located up the hill of Kinsale but not a problem if you're mobile. All the staff were helpful and welcoming!
What a fantastic hotel. We enjoyed everything about our stay. All staff went above and beyond, The breakfast was amazing and the lunch at Sydney's was fantastic.
The rooms were spacious, spotless and comfortable with a great the shower.
Harbour view room was exactly that. Stunning.
Onsite free parking too.
This hotel is adorable! It is so cute inside and inviting. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Beds were clean and cozy, and the room amenities were great (they even had a dyson air wrap- so fancy!). If we ever make our way back to Kinsale we would absolutely stay there again.
loved the location, easily walking to everything, great food at the hotel, nice pubs for singing and dancing right next door and across the street. our room was very comfortable and the hotel staff (especially Aggie) were wonderful!
In the end we stayed at the Blue Haven Hotel (a sister-hotel) due to maintenance at the Old Bank Town House where the hotel staff was very friendly and nice. They made sure we had a great time there as well.
Great character to the hotel. Comfortable, warm, great location and the shower was the best shower of any hotel/venue we have ever stayed in. All in all it was great value so 10 out of 10. ⭐️
The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and bright. I liked the character of this older hotel, and the fact that it still had all the modern amenities.
This was a favorite hotel for us during our 9 day stay in Ireland. It had a very convenient location, the room was nicely decorated and we had a wonderful view of the town and harbor.
Amazing breakfast and service. Lovely location, easy walk to town. Charming rooms, updated bathrooms. This was my favorite stay out of 4 hotels/guesthouses we stayed at in Ireland.
Very quant hotel - loved the rooms, space well utilized. Breakfast was wonderful, very good and staff was attentive. Centrally located in the seaside town of Kinsale.
They do not serve breakfast. The location was good except it was a step climb if walking back from town which the hotel was located just up a short walk to town.
Asolute fantastic place. Iv stayed there once before and I think its my favourite hotel in Ireland. Everything from the view to the staff is top class.
