Sami gave me what I wanted, small, quiet resort but with plenty of restaurants, cafes and a few shops/ bakeries. Fatto a Mano has the best spanikopita!
Scenery was beautiful, harbour very pretty. The beach is narrow but water is very clean and great for a swim (no facilities on beach)

Good middle base for visiting all parts of Kefalonia, right near Melisanni and Drogarati caves. Sami centre has lots of nice restaurants. Adonis was our favourite. Great beach Antisamos is nearby. Myrtos beach about 25 mins away in car. Showers on beach a nice touch. Pretty private coves, good snorkelling, clear turquoise waters. Lots of friendly cats 🐱

Sami is the main ferry port so is ideal for access to other islands. There is no beach only a narrow stretch of shingle
There are numerous Tavernas along the harbour edge which are very pleasant and enable watching of the boats.

Sami is a great place to stay. Lots of great cafes and restaurants by the harbour. Lovely views. Good beaches and lots to explore nearby if you have a car.
The hotel was great, very helpful host, comfortable room with great views, parking, near the harbour and ferry port.

Lassi, Skala then Sami, to have a base to to explore Kefalonia easier.
Which we feel worked out perfectly.
Sami was great, we hired a Boat from 'Compass Renta boat' on two occasions - very nice people - would 100% recommend them.
Used the boat to visit Ithaki.

Sami was a perfect base for North if the Island . Alancia Suites are perfect . Plenty of places to eat and drink . Supermarkets were good .

We loved this place. The view, the balcony, the comfortable bed, and on the sea front. This place has all you could need for an amazing stay in the beautiful town of Sami.
Easy access and great communication from the owner added to one of our best stays. With plenty of fresh towels and linen brought to the apartment every few days, we highly rate this place in every way.
With beaches, taxis, shops, ferries, restaurants, and one of the best cake shops , this place is a perfect holiday stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The accomodation is very close to the beach (we liked the local beach of Sami), 3 mins walk from the ferry from Patra. Very close to a big Spar, great bakeries and a gyros place. Also close to the walking trail to Ancient acropolis and Antisamos beach (which was too busy for our likings). This place is great for travels without a car, because you can find everything in Sami within walking distance.
The property was in a great location. 10 minute walk from the port & Sami beach. They were able to hold our luggage after our check out which was very helpful so we could make the most of our time on the island. It is cleaner regularly which was lovely. Kitchen was equipped with everything you needed & even a washing machine. Bus system is not great in Kefalonia so will need a car to get to the best places.
Good size apartment, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Two balconies, one very spacious with mountain views as described. The location is perfect, with just a few minutes walk from Sami port, local shops and restaurants. The hosts, Tonia and George were really welcoming and friendly, they gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and other places to visit.
The position of the apartment was ok, opposite the supermarket and near the port and shops. It was good that the balcony view was on the mountain and in a quiet street. We choose Sami only for ferry to Ithaka and to visit Melissani and Drogerati cave. So this apartment for 2 days or transit, was ok. Wifi was good, also the kitchenette.
First, Liana, the owner, is very friendly and prepares an amazing breakfast😊 Spacious , quite and clean rooms, the location is near by the center of Sami and its great taverns. Also, due to it’s position, you can visit many beaches / places on the island. I do recommend this accommodation!🤗 Livia, Dragoș, Claudiu
The property is located a short walk from Sami harbour which is a beautiful location. The property is clean and the proprietors are friendly and accomodating. There is great air on and is comfortable for a family of 6. It is a great place from which you can explore the island.
Excellent location and stay. The apartment has fantastic terrace with sea view and less than 1 minute walk from the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby, a few good shops too. The host is very friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again in the future.
The staff is excellent, very polite and attentive. The drinks at the pool bar are also delicious.
Good location: Although Sami itself is not amazing, it's a great point to have as a base to explore the other gorgeous spots of the island.
Everything is great. The central location with port view, the high speed internet, the comfortable bed, the friendly host. It is nice and quiet in Sami in December, and this property adds more colour to the trip.
