I loved being away from the popular resorts at the other end, people were very friendly, I did 4 day trips, it's an amazing island with great ambassadors. Some of the popular triples were a little too busy, i.e. sunset in Zia, but the shopping was out of this world, found a lovely pottery jewellery shop that was all local made, loved the restaurants on the beaches

Kefalos is the most beautiful place on island.
Kefalos is the most beautiful place on island. It has beautiful nature, hills, there are options for off road experiences. It has the most beautiful and sandy beaches which are not too crowded. The water is christal clear and some beaches like Agios Theologos have beautiful sunset.
We liked Kefalos because it is very authentic and you can enjoy in greek culture and cuisine.

It’s the perfect place to go if you want to relax in a quiet town
Consider renting a car, the town is on a hill and not many taxis around. There’s plenty of car,4x4s, scooters, bikes and plenty more to rent with very affordable prices.
If you wish to get an airport transfer, contact Ztours as they do transfers from the airport to Kéfalos for only €14/person. Also, check their other activities as they do trips to Kos Town, 3 Island cruises and plenty more for very good prices!
Try the small restaurants, they all have amazing food!

The location of the guest house was fantastic, this family run business has so much things to offer within the accommodation from the guest house to Supermarket and beach front restaurant, it was very convenient which runs by the family.
And the Guest house has a private beach huts too the beach has the best views. my stayed in the property has been very enjoyable one and I could not find any fault about the property.
The hosts are all super helpful and friendly, Mr Harry was one fun and happy bubbly cheerful guy always greeted me "how are you my son" it makes me feel like home :)
I'll be coming back soon!

Kefalos is well worth a visit, absolutely stunning location. It's very quiet, and a little far from many of the major historical sites in Kos, so it may be worth splitting the time on the island - we spent a week based in Kos Town and then 3 days in Kefalos, which felt about right.
Nice basic studio apartments, great value for its quite low price. Nice garden around. The local beach is 10-15 min walk from the apartment and is mixed sand & pebble with very clean water. There are also several extremely good beaches on both the windy and the quiet sides of the island that can be reached within 10-15 minutes by car. The local infrastructure is quite good, many shops, restaurants, cheap car/bike/quad rentals within the walking distance. There is also a local bus that goes several times a day.
Very friendly staff, always ready to help with everything. It’s a Family hotel with big heart.
Housekeeping is responsible and respectful.
Locality of the hotel is the best from the whole Island and best restaurants around the corner.
You don’t have to be afraid to borrow a car from near by company and travel the island by your self. Opposite the hotel you find a local shop with a always good mood lady I would like to greet one’s more .

Hermes Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed at; this family run hotel is incredibly hospitable, and every member of staff treats you as one of their own. The location is excellent, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and all the facilities of Kefalos, and up the hill is the town. Top notch cleanliness, friendly staff and well maintained facilities. They even had olive oil from their own groves! I will certainly be back when I'm next in Kos!
Cute Apartments exceeded our expectations! Owner Nicolas and his family were very nice (day of our arrival we already had prepared as welcome cookies, coffee, wine, ..) and very helpful,the best host ever, apartment offered everything we needed and much more, very clean, very trendy equipped, modern, and on top of all mentioned - location is amazing - view on sea from each room, all-in-all TOP in Kos island for us (2 couples)
Lovely basic studio flat 5mins walk to a small pretty beach with transparent waters. Kefalos beach is 10mins walk and there are lots of restaurants on the promenade. The location is extremely peaceful and local, unlike the more touristy developed Kos Town. Taxi from Kos airport cost 33 euros. Daily cleaning from a very friendly maid. Payment - on the last day the owner will come to collect cash or you can pay with card.
The hotel is decorated in an old country style, very clean, the owners are wonderful people, very friendly and nice, you feel at home, cleaning every day, varied breakfast, nice atmosphere. Large, deep, clean pool, a very calm place, just wonderful for a couple's holiday. There are many restaurants, shops and the beach nearby. I highly recommend it for those who love antiquity and home comfort.
The hotel is located very close to the beach, in just 1 minute you are there and it is a very quiet beach, with chairs/umbrellas and super clean water. It is also very close to a lot of nice tavernas and bars.
We were able to check in late and our stay was very comfortable. Everything was super clean and we had our towels and sheets changed every 2 days. We had a perfect stay!
Amazing and kind Host! The apartment is 2 mins from the beach and you have their restaurant just in front of the apartments plus supermarket bars and more little restaurants 3 mins away.

Nice view from the balcony. Own pool (which we did not use though). Nice breakfast (although some watermelon would have been nice and actual fruit juices). AC. Cute hotel cat(s). Very friendly and forthcoming staff. When we had to leave one night earlier, this posed no problem and we were refunded that night. That's great!
We had a room on the first floor in one of upper buildings. There was a beautiful view on the whole Kefalos bay with morning sunrise. The room had the air conditioning and the room service was every day. The hotel staff was really helpful and communicative. There was no problem with late check-in caused by delayed flight.
Everything is perfect. Couldn't wish for better holiday. Hotel spotless as usual. They changed the mattress covers and now the beds are comfy. The staff are wonderful. Breakfast is pretty basic, but for me it's more than fine. I still think it's the best value for money in Kefalos.
Easy walking distance to all you need. Kefalos has clean, spacious beaches along with many relaxed, traditional restaurants. Nice pool facilities considering the relatively cheap price. For travelers on a tight budget, a decent value.
Its a nice little hotel, nice building itself, rooms are big and also balconies are spacious. Its close to the main beach of Kefalos and not far from Agios Stefanos. There are wonderful homemade marmalades and jams for breakfast...
Excellent breakfast, staff very friendly! lovely rooms we stayed in an executive suite and it was newly and stylish. great bar and food , really enjoyed the stay and the view of Kefalos bay was amazing!
