This place has large shady grounds with multiple units, a large outdoor pool and a nice restaurant/bar. We stayed only one night. Our evening meal and the included breakfast buffet were quite good. Our room was large and clean but showed age in the structure and facility. AC was functional, but could have worked better. Abundant deer and monkeys on the property. Nice private deck out our back door. All-in-all a decent place for the price. We would stay here again.

Nice place with an awesome view. Employees were friendly. No a/c but it was cool enough at night to be comfortable. It was a little pricey but so is everything else in Costa Rica this time of year.

The 24hr parking lot security. They take your car plate# to make sure all the cars in their lot belong there. At a certain hour in the evening, they close and lock the gate. But they have a security guard there all night who will let people in and out, and patrols the grounds all night. I know because I saw him at 2:00am with a flashlight making sure everything was secure.

I booked last minute because I missed the bus to La Fortuna. I woke up with stunning views of the hotel and beautiful surroundings. The room is very clean with AC and fridge, coffee machine and table, it has hot water!!! Love everything, regret that I was unable to stay longer. Will come back and highly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet place to enjoy the nature

The property was beautiful and as a bonus we got to sloths and porcupines sleeping in the trees, toucans and other birds flying around and perching, and cute little lizards-it was like being on a nature preserve! My son appreciated having enough space to practice throwing his baseball around.
The room was lovely, especially all the fine woodworking. The kitchen was well appointed for making a simple dinner and it was nice to enjoy our breakfast out on the patio. The pool is amazing, long and deep enough to do some real swimming, and there is also a shallow kiddie pool.
The hosts were friendly and helpful and made an incredible breakfast.

It is a very lovely place and I would stay there again; Canas itself isn't a big town but the location of the hotel could be a good jump start to visit Rio Celeste and the beautiful surrounding areas in the mountains. Beaches are at least an hour and a half away but the roads are very good. Next to the hotel there is a great river rafting company!
