We liked everything about our visit, especially the very kind and responsive owner Marc ! He greeted us upon arrival, and took us to the train station when we departed !! Our conversations with Marc were also a real pleasure. He speaks English perfectly, along with Spanish, and other languages ! This is a very well located, highly comfortable, and quiet ground floor accomodation, with a nice private patio. It is just a few minutes walk to the train station, and also near a variety of cafes and restaurants. This property is an outstanding value, which we would not hesitate to visit again !! I forgot to mention the generous and excellent breakfast. Many thanks Marc !!

Fantastic place in a beautiful green lush garden! We enjoyed our stay a lot. It was very relaxing to just sit outside and enjoy the relaxing nature, listening to the birds, watching the cats play and, of course, swimming in the warm pool! Fantastic! Nice little town with a cozy city center, good food places, some nice shops and a rather relaxed athmosphere. And also a nice parc in walkinf distance. A stay here is highly recommanded if you wanna escape the big cities around, but still feel like being somewhere interesting.

A small town with some pretty architecture. There are plenty of shops and eating places. It's easy enough to navigate around the centre and it feels safe at night. It's easy to get there from Brussels on the train.

It's such a good base for touring Flanders.
It's such a good base for touring Flanders. You have Brussels, Ghent, Brugge, Antwerp and lots of other interesting towns within less than an hour by train. You can even get down south towards Kortrijk, Mons and Ieper and back in the day, or to the coast, although you have to watch the times of the late evening trains. You usually have to change in Ghent or Brussels.
It is a lovely little town in its own right with a compact centre about 10-15 minutes from the hotel and full of churches, cafes and bars including several on the station square. The best one is in a side street to the right of the station opposite the cycle park. There's a market on Saturdays and a LIDL for everyday shopping.

Not far from the Channel ferries, but a much nicer place to spend the night than many of the towns on the coast. The market square is beautiful and there are lots of places to eat and drink. They seem to have quite a few local events, so there might be something extra to see
The host, Martine was the kindest and extremely attentive to the guests’ every needs, providing all the information necessary about the city and it’s culture and as well an amazing breakfast every morning if needed! Aalst is almost no doubt one of the if not the best location to stay for visiting Belgium, a city of great culture and beautiful streets! Without a doubt the BEST place to stay whenever coming to Belgium!
Room was of a good size and the beds were very comfortable. Considering its location to the station and the bus stops there was no noise at night. The staff were very helpful in showing us how to locate the bus we needed and in buying the ticket from the kiosk. Location is great and the town of Aalst has plenty of places to eat, shops and a large market on Sunday.
Location: very peaceful, with some green around the property, yet in the middle of the nice city of Aalst, and very easy to reach.

And it is a unique additional benefit to have a charge point for the car battery.
The breakfast was excellent! Although it is only a small hotel, the breakfast could compete with larger hotels. There was a broad choice of bread, cereals and hot dishes. but also fresh orange juice, bacon and eggs on request and superb pancakes.

The breakfast was great, amazing eggs and apparently from their own chickens. The location is absolutely fantastic right in the most central street of Aalst couldn't really get better when it came to location!
The landlady is very charming. Very good and personalized service - just tell her what you need. On Saturdays they make waffles in front of the hotel - if you are there don’t miss it.
Very friendly staff. Clean and cozy hotel. Quality and price is excellent. We will definitely come back and also recommend this beautiful hotel to our families and friends.
