A wonderful experience! Our room was spacious with balcony and a great view of the bay. Breakfast on the terrace was very generous and well prepared. Great location with a large promenade in from of the hotel extending along the waterfront with many bars and restaurants. The owner and his wife were very accommodating and friendly and gave a great restaurant recommendation as well as travel tips. Would definitely recommend as the place to stay in Saranda.

Sarande is a hidden gem.
Sarande is a hidden gem. This was my second time returning and I can’t wait to go a third time. I went at the perfect time of year and it was not too crowded. Had the cabanas and sunbeds to ourselves.
Had a lovely dinner at a local fish restaurant, sorry can’t remember the name.
We had a driver and our own transport from Tirana which made the trip a lot easier getting around to nearby Ksamil.
I am still discovering Albania so I have fallen a little more on each visit. I will make sure to bring more swim wear to change into for my pictures☺️.
We visited the Blue Eye just outside Sarande- I highly recommend that you visit.

The city is very large offering affordable restaurants and expensive pubs and nightclubs. There is a lot of garbage, especially outside the promenade. the beach and the entrance to the water are rocky and do not offer a toilet or changing room, only a public shower.
In season, the streets around the city are difficult to pass by vehicle, and the upper part of the city is difficult to access for vehicles. Very rarely is card payment available around town. Even supermarkets refuse to pay with a card for less than 15 euros.

Generally, Saranda is a nice city but too crowded over the summer (we were there at the beginning of September and it was crowdy anyway). If you are coming with a car, find a place with reserved parking and go through Saranda by walking. Water is nice, but main public beach is basically in the harbor, so it's not that clear and clean. If you want nice clean water, you must go to the private beaches and to pay for the sunbeds. There is still a lot to succeed about tourism (we missed proper informations about buss scheduler to other cities or places, there are taxi drivers everywhere which will ask you too much money for some rides, and a lot young people, kids are working almost everywhere).

It's the most touristic city in the country which in the case of Albania is a good thing, not a bad thing since the tourism industry in Albania is very new and immature, you struggle regularly if you are not in a place where they are used tourists.
Sarande has a lot of nice beaches within diriving distance but you have to go very early cause everything and I mean everything is actually privatized and is always full during Summer in the middle of the day.
On the other hand the city itself is lovely especially if you stay and hang out near the promenade, nice games, activities, restarautns and seafood are super tasty and cheap for us coming from The Netherlands.
Also the cocktail and shisha bars (rooftops sometimes) are very good.
Nice family runned hotel in Saranda, away from the city crowd, but still 10 min. walking to the center. Good breakfast, big rooms, awesome restaurant terrace. Perfect pool for afternoon relaxing. The staff was very kind, especially Blerta, the owners daughter, who was very helpful. She had very quick response on any our question or need. So sad that they didn't worked the restaurant this year (worked only for breakfast), it would be very beautiful to have dinner in the garden by the pool .
I think it's the best hotel in Saranda and generally the best hotel in Albania I've been to. First, it's modern. Rooms are quite big and beds are so comfortable. Everything is new and clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. Both the owners of the hotel and the rest of the staff. Really nice people who take care of every detail. The hotel is not huge so it is quiet there and the pool is not overcrowded. Congratulations for creating such a cool place to relax. We will definitely come back!

This is one of the best hotels I’ve even been. Very nice and kindly stuff, solving all problems which appeard, helping all the time. The room was very clean and tidy, everyday was cleaned. Sea viev is amazing, for whole bay. Breakfast was delicious, everybody can chose whatever they want to eat. The location of hotel is great, the beaches, Main Street, city centre is very close to the hotel. To sum up - stay in this hotel made our vacation in Saranda wonderful.
Very comfortable villa with a balcony to chill out. The beach down the street is nice, however this place is perfect if you want to spend a day or two in Ksamil as it's right in the entrance of Saranda, so just 15min drive to Ksamil (and also 15min drive to downtown Saranda). Hosts are fantastic, they drove us to the port to get the ferry to Corfu and also allowed us to leave our car parked at the hotel for 3 days while we were in Corfu.
Andon Lapa is awsome. Its been my 4th time in Saranda and i can say Andon Lapa is the best hotel in Sarande.

The view is great, top cleaness, good location. In the room we had coffee machine, very good for morning coffee and the design of the hotel is really chic.
The staff was exceptional, very friendly, paying attention to our needs, supportive and helpful and good english and italian.

Great place, clean and comfortable rooms. One of the most important things is the private parking of the property, where I could leave my car without any worries. In Saranda it’s extremely tough to find parking and most people had their cars parked in the streets. The family running the hotel was really kind and extremely helpful. Really close to the centre as well.
I was only in saranda for one night, and this was the perfect place to stay. It was very clean and located close to restaurants and the bus stop that I needed. Mona herself is SO lovely - she kept the place sparkling clean and was very warm and sweet. I only stayed here because another hostel canceled on me the day before, but I’m so glad it worked out!

Very clean and quiet rooms. Their bathroom has rinser, which is quiet rare to find in hotels, a big plus for Arabs and Muslims. Good breakfast buffet and made to order dishes. Garage in the basement, parking in Saranda is awful so garage is a big plus. Friendly staff. Modern and comfortable hotel.

The hotel is located right on the coast, it has its own beach. The hotel staff is friendly and available for any advice. The food in the hotel is excellent, hygiene is at a high level. If you want a real vacation in Saranda, you can't go wrong with Hotel 1.
