From the moment I arrived, he made me feel welcome and at home. The facilities are excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The shower had reliably hot water (a big plus!), and both breakfast and dinner were delicious and satisfying every day. You can feel the care and love Ricky puts into everything he does. His two friendly dogs and super cuddly cat made the place feel even more like home. I can’t recommend staying here enough—thank you for everything, Ricky!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, The Lazy Dog Inn is situated 7 km from Huaraz, and 3,650 metres above sea level. Almost all units include a balcony and/or patio. The main lodge area is very cozy, with many books and games, and I played Scrabble with a friendly German couple there in front of the fireplace. The manager was able to arrange driver service, since it is somewhat remote from the town itself, in a nice setting.

We spent hours talking about life and they showed us their life in their amazing house/lands. We ate really really good !! The views from their house are amazing since you are still inside the Huascaran National park. We would love to go back.
