Thank you also to the hosts for being so helpful as Bocas takes a bit of know-how for a first-timer - they helped us book tours and water taxis. Wish we'd had more time just to relax and enjoy their gorgeous property!

We've never had a better host than Jennifer! She deserves 10 out of 10 stars - amazingly thorough communication, quick responses, accurate information, super friendly & helpful. She knows everyone in Bocas and helped us set up everything from a private boat tour to a birthday cake. It's worth booking here just for her knowledge! Location - in Playa Bluff, a 25 min taxi which costs between $15-$20 each way depending on the time of day. You can also take a colectivo for $3.50/person until about 6pm when it stops running. We loved the more remote location but it's a long bumpy road which may not work for everyone. There are a couple of restaurants within super easy walking distance and a gorgeous beach with big waves. Howler monkeys were in the trees out front along with lots of gorgeous Oropendula birds, agoutis, etc. The house has a fantastic front porch/dining area where we hung out during rain showers. We didn't cook, so can't speak to kitchen amenities but there's an Italian coffeemaker and a fridge.

We stayed for three days, brought our provisions from Bocas town to cook, and were cocooned in paradise. Snorkelled several times a day - rays, lionfish, batfish - but the most beautiful were the myriad small outcrops of coral, each with its own ecosystem. Went paddle boarding and kayaks were available. We absolutely loved our stay at Bahia Coral Lodge.

The couple welcomed us with great availability throughout our stay. We received an exceptional and varied breakfast every morning that exceeded our expectations. We were extremely satisfied. The space is very large, nature is totally respected and we were very lucky to have such charming and caring hosts. We highly recommend the location, the price is absolutely correct, the quality is absolutely correct. We are very, very happy.

This place is perfect for families, you have a pool all to yourself in a gorgeous garden. The kitchen is beautiful and has sea views, there are shaded patio spaces, and the couch in the living room pulls out to make the perfect kid bed! definitely will stay again.

They went out of their way to make sure that we had all the info that we needed about the area, including access to the surfbreaks, which was very much appreciated. Lovely treehouses that were built with love and thought by the owners. Very eco-minded, which we support 100 percent. The cabin was suspended in the jungle in a very quiet location, yet close to the beaches, which were a 5 minute walk away. Every day we could hear the Howler monkeys in the distance and hear and see the wide variety of tropical birds. Listening to the sounds of nature was so peaceful. We loved our stay there!

WOW, we LOVED our stay at Skully’s!! We kept saying over and over how glad we were that we had picked this place to stay, and were sad to leave and go to the next place after 2 days. We even recommended it to a couple we met later, who changed from their original hotel in Bocas town to Skully’s. The location was perfect — away from the town, but we super easy to get to the town by taxi, or as we did the second day, by renting electric bikes from Skully’s. The private beach was incredible — walking right outside our door and seeing the ocean and having lots of beach furniture free to use. They even provided 2 beach chairs in our closet which was such a nice touch. We also loved having the restaurant on site (all of the food was great — would have loved more local options, but we appreciated the convenience and variety) as well as the bar. Both the food and drinks were pricey, but we liked the convenience of them being there. We also enjoyed using the pool tables (billiards) and sitting in the pool/next to the pool when eating. Being able to rent electric bikes right there was great too. Have recommended it to many people since, and would definitely come back!!
