Our stay in the air conditioned treehouse was exceptional, with futons that, while firmer, offered a uniquely comfortable rest. The seclusion of the spot made it feel like a private slice of paradise. The river and waterfall were so serene that I could spend hours simply relaxing on their sun loungers by the edge. There is also a cafe across the river that is run by a wife and husband duo that is only accessible by walking or driving on a path through a scenic rice paddy. It had sushi, pizza, noodles and more that was delicious and worth trying! The lodge also offers a range of riverside activites such as saunas, bike riding, a fire-pit for evening relaxation, and water rafting. The rafting and the peaceful moments floating in the river were core memories from my stay and a must try!

Located in Yufu and only 43 km from Crasus Dome Oita, Yamashitako Lodge provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. A lovely house in the wilderness! You have your own private Onsen, both inside and outside which was fantastic. Hence we didn’t manage to rent a car we had to go there with bus and then walk 3 km from closest bus stop. When the staff found out they immediately offered to drive us the next morning and stay another hour in the house to correspond with our bus to Beppu. Very kind and considerate young man. Thank you, we appreciate it.

Stardust Village Hossyo features a hot spring bath, as well as accommodation with a kitchen in Kokonoe. This truly is a gem. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need. The staff were so thorough to ensure my stay was comfortable. The outdoor bath is one of the best I've experienced in Japan. It's in a beautiful Part of the country and we'll worth a stay. I didn't want to leave

Set in Yufu, 45 km from Crasus Dome Oita and 5.9 km from Kinrinko Lake, Yufuin Tsukahara Kogen Sanso Donguri offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and garden views. It had been such a pleasant experience to stay in this unique cottage, the room is neat and tidy with all facilities in place. We were supposed to be there before 6:00pm the latest but we finally arrived late around 8:30pm as we lost our way. Without getting the electronic toll card (ETC card) from the car company, we were stuck at the toll collection point ( cash is not acceptable), the host was so nice to direct us to find another way out and waited until our late check in. Really appreciate for his kindness. Make your booking at this cottage is a very good choice.
