Set 80 metres from Negra, Playa Grande Lodge & Tree House offers a garden, a terrace and accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. This was a little vacation to celebrate life and man, we hit jackpot!! Gianluca was a great host with super clear directions, and he helped us map potential places to visit and go eat. I forgot to take pictures, but the lodge was absolutely gorgeous, and our room had all that you needed for visiting Cahuita. Offering a year-round outdoor pool and tropical garden, La Rana De Cahuita is set 5 km away from the centre of Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 18 km from the property. The place is a hidden gem. Nestled in the middle of the rain forest amongst lush gardens and local fauna. The songs of the birds were incredible and you could hear the houler monkeys every morning. We hope to come back soon.

Boasting a garden, Los Delfines Lodge is set in Puerto Viejo in the Limon region, 1.2 km from Cocles Beach and 1.8 km from Jaguar Rescue Center. The lodge was so beautiful - the indoor outdoor living, the care taken to the garden, the space in general. Away from the chaos of puerto viejo but and easy drive into town if needed. Great recommendations from the hosts who were the loveliest couple that provided us with information about the area, fresh fruit, and a sense of immediate comfort. Waking up and seeing animals everyday was an added bonus!
