With Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino reachable in 32 km, Hostal Sierra Minca offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a bar. The place is split in two locations, so there are two bars, two pools even two restaurants. we chilled one day at the first and the second at the other. At both places we were met with friendly people and super service! I recommend doing the activities they provide in the hostal and just enjoy being there!

Very comfortable and private tiny house off of the main entrance road to Tayrona. The houses are surrounded by nature and the balconies provide a great place to watch wildlife and take in the beauty of the surroundings. It is around a 45 minute walk or quick shuttle ride to get to the main trail head of Tayrona. Host was extremely welcoming and helpful (we had some car trouble and the host was a major resource in getting our issues resolved).

Located 100 metres from Playa Los Angeles, La Casita del Bosque provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Free WiFi is provided. The owner is exceptionally nice and helped with figuring out many things regarding the stay in the area. The hut was beautiful and peaceful, a highlight of my Colombia trip. Be aware of the fact that it is in a forest, so you will get to see insects and potentially even small animals. If you have a problem with that, then it might not be the most suitable place - but I actually loved being in a quiet place in the middle of nature.

Located in Minca in the Magdalena region and Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino reachable within 30 km, Terramia Estate provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private... the property was incredible. the views were amazing. fantastic food. Louis was a wonderful host. I can’t recommend this place enough. it’s the perfect getaway and he can arrange tours in the local area. If the place is available book it!!!

Providing mountain views, Wachakyta Ecolodge in Calabazo provides accommodation, a garden, a private beach area, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Free WiFi is provided. I’m writing this for the benefit of those who are thinking about booking and reading posts that seem to comment without understanding what Wachakyta is about. It scored 10 because the whole experience was brilliant. Where else in the world can you spend the night on a deserted beach, with a chef, a bar, unlimited water, coffee tea etc etc? There is also free wifi (which didn’t always work when you were away from the main area). But you have to realise you are in a beach hut. You’ll get critters, wind, the sound of the sea and everything nature has. Sure, you’ll also have a comfortable bed, good quality sheets (and a mozzie net) so it’s not without some creature comforts. The prices charged for food and drink were perfectly fine given everything (including you!!) has to be delivered by boat. And the food is cooked to order… they will come to find you about two hours before lunch or dinner and you make your selection and choose the time. The boat, by the way, is a separate business but you’ll get details on how to book and as someone who speaks only a little Spanish, the whole process was done by what’s app. They picked us up at 4.20 on the Wednesday exactly as promised. And that, my friends, is our summary. This is a get away from the world place. Enjoy nature, wildlife, the sun, the stars and escape.

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge by Mareygua is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. Great place to stay. Very relaxing and with all necessary facilities. Nice and well educated staff.

Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the mountain, Hierba Buena Eco Hostel is situated in El Zaino and features accommodation with free WiFi. The room we stayed in was beautiful. The place is nice and chilled. The staff was very helpful and kind, they told us great tips for routes and places to get food. The whole place is very cute having a nice swimming pool, beautiful garden and very intimate and not at all crowded natural pools in a river 5min up the path. There is a restaurant next door, called doña Marta, which is a must. Local economic authentic food. Easy to get there with public transport. In conclusion, although it is a 10 min walk from the main road, it was definitely worth taking the time to find the place.

This is a beautiful house with outstanding Mountain Views. You can see the dedication of the owner on every detail. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.
