The location is absolutely amazing - so beautiful and peaceful! The little kitchen was nice to have, and the large shower (dual shower heads and full-length window/view of the vegetation) was unique! Very convenient for hiking to the beaches of Tayrona.

My stay was truly an adventure and absolutely worth every moment! The room matched the photos perfectly - minimalist, stylish, and cozy. The surroundings were simply breathtaking. Here, you could fully immerse yourself in nature and unwind completely. It was evident that Pollo had poured his heart and soul into this project, and it showed in every detail. Loved the chocolate tasting too! ... and yes, it's situated up the hill in the jungle, so a certain level of fitness is required, but the view from up there makes it all worthwhile.

Louis was a wonderful host. I can’t recommend this place enough. it’s the perfect getaway and he can arrange tours in the local area. If the place is available book it!!!

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. The property is an eco-friendly hostel that offers private rustic rooms with balcony and bathroom. Staff were extremely friendly and smiley, personal thanks to Santiago who was absolutely brilliant. We had a very heavy bag and staff took care of it despite the very many stairs. Welcome cocktail which is a nice touch. The room was very clean and the shower had hot water which is rare in the area. The views are fantastic, you will love the sunset. Dinner was good (very yummy coconut rice) and they even asked whether we wanted our red wine at room temperature (they tend to serve it cold in Colombia). Good breakfast. Close to Tayrona Park which avoids having to do a long drive. Hotel helped us organise our taxi requirements.
