Where do I start? The property was up the coast from Bahía Solano on Mecana Beach. A remote and beautiful part of the Pacific Coast. I didn't like the hotel I had originally booked so I quickly packed up and made this reservation last minute. I didn't know I'd have to take a boat from Bahía Solano (Mutis) to get there (I didn't read closely enough) but the owner Laura quickly arranged to have us picked up at the dock and we were sitting eating fresh fish and drinking cold beer after a short (20 minute) boat ride. This place was magical, both because of the setting but also largely due to Laura's energy and passion for the property. She is a warm, caring and accepting person and I feel lucky that we got to meet her and stay at her ecohotel. The food was delicious, fresh fish every day and everything was made in house. The place was perfect and just two minutes walk through the trees to the spectacular and peaceful beach. If you're the kind of traveller who needs air conditioning, sterilized rooms or you are high maintenance in any way I would say that this property is probably not for you. If you're like me and love to be close to nature and want to unplug and enjoy then don't hesitate to book here. I would go back tomorrow if I could!

Ecohotel Bahía Terco í Nuquí býður upp á gistirými, garð, veitingastað, einkastrandsvæði og sjávarútsýni. Það er með fullbúið sérbaðherbergi með sturtu og ókeypis snyrtivörum. Everything is just like a dream here! The place is perfect, in the middle of the beach, close to Termales and close to playa Guachalito. You can see the Whales from the beach and babies tortules!! The jungle is amazing! Claudia And Francisco are really kind people with good energy and relax. Claudia makes incredible food, you’ll eat a lot of fish!! The room has no Windows as it’s like a kinda hut but you have mosquito net and everything is super clean! You can view the ocean from the room as it’s just in front! Anyway it’s a paradise and we are sad to go…. I highly recommend this Bahia Terco!

Irana Pacific Hotel í Nuquí býður upp á sjávarútsýni, gistirými, garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd, veitingastað og einkastrandsvæði. Ókeypis WiFi er í boði. Property is well equipped, room was very comfy and a beautiful sea view. The food was amazing (thanks to Diana and Dayana for their love and unique cuisine). We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Irana. You have 5 km of beach only for yourself. Forget about crowded places and constant sellers, this is like having an island for yourself, surrounded by the jungle and the sea. Esteban and Marcela, both owners and administrators, will take care of all your needs. They are extremely helpful and will help you arrange all the activities you want to do. Despite coming during low season (not the whale season) we had plenty of choices and activities to do (we even did an amazing 6h hike through the jungle to a beautiful double cascade). Esteban and Marcela, besides our guide, came along and hiked with us. We will be back, for sure!

El Vijo Surf er staðsett í Nuquí og býður upp á sjávarútsýni, veitingastað, alhliða móttökuþjónustu, bar, garð og verönd. Ókeypis WiFi er í boði hvarvetna á gististaðnum. El Vijo is a paradise, I would especially recommend it for groups and couples. It is about a 20 mins walk to the next (very) small village, although the walk is not always possible due to the tide. Adolpho and Deude did an amazing job. The food was delicious and Adolpho very kind and helpful. As a solo traveller I would recommend somewhere else but for couples seeking tranquility or groups of friends looking for an amazing experience I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to my next stay there.

Ecolodge Mar y Rio er staðsett í Nuquí og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi, garð, verönd og veitingastað. Allar gistieiningarnar eru með setusvæði og borðkrók. The accommodation is located in a quiet bay which can be reached from nuqui in only 45 minutes by speedboat. During our stay, the whole family was there. They cooked for us every evening. It is also recommended as there are no restaurants in the area. Ideal location for trips to jovi and thermales. The rooms are functionally furnished and correspond to the standard in choco. Electricity was only available in the morning and evening. But this is the case with all hotels in choco. In general, it is very recommendable for relaxing and long walks on the beach.

Finca El Regalo í Capurganá býður upp á sjávarútsýni, gistirými, ókeypis reiðhjól, garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd og veitingastað. Ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði eru í boði. This is the perfect place if you want to stay somewhere a bit more relaxing and away from the center of town. They help arrange tours, pickup to and from town. Breakfast was great! Nelson was wonderful, and attentive.

Hótelið er staðsett á friðlandi, 50 metra frá El Almejal-ströndinni og 1 km frá miðbæ El Valle. El Almejal býður upp á sveitaleg gistirými með frumskógarútsýni í Mutis. The good service, specially Luisa which took care of finding tours when the conditions were not ideal. Nice shelters. Everything was very clean. The jungle just a few meters with a long walk behind the hotel. Many animals to be seen from the hotel, lizards, squirrel, colibri... Avialable coffee and water. Night fire.

Acuali EcoHostal er staðsett í Capurganá, við fallegu Karíbahafsströndina og býður upp á veitingastað og heilsulind. Þetta afskekkta farfuglaheimili býður upp á afþreyingu utandyra á staðnum. Loved the shower it gave you privacy while also seeing the jungle!
