L'Esplanade Lille is set in the historic centre of Lille in front of the Citadel of Lille and a 14-minute walk from Lille Grand Place. Seriously, this is one of the best hotels I have booked. Ambiance is perfect. The room is lovely, large, comfortable, clean, warm and with a beautiful view. 5-10mins walk to the center and nice bars or restaurants. Breakfast was peaceful, with a nice view and appretizing.

Absolutely marvellous place in the total tranquillity, recently built with a great taste and attention to details. The bed was like a cloud, breakfast was really adorable. We loved staying in this beautifully restored house and appreciated the detail that has gone into the lovely furnishing's and decor. The hosts were just delightful and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast which was sourced from local places. We highly recommend La Villa Barbieux as a place to stay.

Our guests were very welcoming and directed us to local sights and restaurants. The accommodation was exquisite. Petit Dejeuner with home-made marmalade was wonderful.
