Inveraray

We loved our stay of 2 nights in the Garden suite! Simply amazing! When we arrived we had a very nice warm welcome of Victoria, one of the owners of Brambles of Inverary.
The Garden suite is just lovely! Amazing comfortable beds and sofa in front of the tv. My compliments to the housekeeper who specially arranged the stuffed animals of my daughter on her bed when we came back in our room. This totally made her feel really special.
Brambles had their own restaurant and coffee café accross the street. In their restaurant they serve during the day nice lunches including amazing pastries and cakes. I was personally in heaven with 1 of their specialties, the blue berry lemon curd cake with lemon frosting. It's a good thing for my health that I do not live here haha.
The first night we also had dinner at the restaurant of Brambles. This was also really excellent. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. This restaurant is nice for any kind of group.
In the morning we had breakfast at Brambles which was included. You could choose something cooked from the menu and you were able to take anything you wanted from the counter. Like croissants, cereals or juices.
We had Eggs Benedict, very tasty!
Brambles is located at the main street of Inverary. Within 10 minutes walk of the Inverary castle and 1 minute walk of the Inverary Jail. Both I definitely recommend to visit! In the area there are also really nice hikes you can do for example go up the mountain 250 metres high to the look out point of Dun Na Cuaiche. Trust me it's worth it! The view at Inverary and Loch Fyne is breahttaking!
Next time if Inverary is on our route, we will again book our stay with Brambles!
Pitlochry
Situated in the town of Pitlochry, Atholl Villa Guest House is a privately owned Victorian building, offering views of Ben Vrackie. It has free parking and retains many original features, such as open fireplaces and wooden sash windows. A very nice, wide and clean room. The location is in the main road, close to restaurants, the Dumm, and the breakfast was good.
Balloch
On the edge of Loch Lomond and a 30-minute drive from Glasgow and its airport, this 4-star guest house has hearty Scottish breakfasts and free Wi-Fi.
A cooked breakfast made with local produce is served in the morning from 8:00 to 9:00. Continental and vegetarian options are also available on request.

The bathroom was great, very big and modern, and it had both shower and a hot tub. The room was big enough for both of us and our luggage. Also, Joy let us leave the luggge in the lounge after checkout until we left Inverness.
It was a very good value for money.

Room is very spacious, clean and with all facilities needed, very spacious bathroom, great location at University campus, charming neighborhood; very near city center (Royal Mile - wide variety of buses from Commonwealth Pool bus stop 2min from the hotel or Newington bus stop 5 min walk, hotel is really very well connected!) and in the same time in quiet place (very close to Holyrood park), it is really unique scenery we enjoyed it very much ! Great location, the city center was reachable on foot (walking took about 25 minutes). Fantastic dorm service, staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly. It's a dormitory, so you can't expect luxury, but we had a clean, comfortable room, access to the kitchen and a private bathroom. I heartily recommend.
Great location to discover the Highlands. Great hospitality, excellent breakfast with fresh seasonal fruit, choice of eggs et ... Gill is a great hostess, leaves you privacy but is available if needed. The room was clean and deserves a 4star. Private parking space available.

Individual boutique hotel in an interesting historic building with lots of traditional features- felt like you were in Edinburgh. The suite was really big and comfy with a fab roll top bath. Great location as tucked away in a quiet street but a short walk to the city centre.

Great location. Room was spotless. Very quiet even when in city centre. A hot day in Glasgow and the air conditioned room was very welcome. Room 407 ( luxury studio) was incredible. A real home from home with a kitchen and even a washer and drier. Having a separate lounge area was great to allow my daughter and I to have some space from each other when needed. The receptionist Hazel was absolutely first class. Very friendly and helpful and is a great asset to Native. Hope to return soon.
