Less than 3 miles from the historic centre of Canterbury, this luxury B&B enjoys a rural setting within its own oak woodland. It offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi and plenty of off-road parking for all guests. Exceptional. The location worked well for me - a c. 10 quid taxi ride into Canterbury - had plenty of parking room. There was a forest to explore and pigs to see. It was really beautiful and peaceful! The host was wonderful and welcoming and made a fantastic full English breakfast to order in the morning (plus, there was cereal, etc.). The room was comfortable and modern and everything worked like it should! Would highly recommend.

Great location really close to the city centre and (west) rail station, yet tucked away and quiet. As others have said, this place is 'compact' being one of about 8 little flatlets behind properties fronting the road. Look like conversions of former outbuildings. Has everything you need for a short stay, warm and comfortable.

Very well designed, constructed and featured room. Very comfortable and unusually quiet! Breakfast and dinner as you would expect from Wetherspoons. Not cordon bleu, straight forward grub and budget prices. Beer excellent, again as you would expect from Wetherspoons. No parking is available on site but there is a long term 24 hour Council car park about 8 minutes walk away, costing £6.50 per day (when we were there). But more unless you leave before 07:00 hrs. Still pretty cheap. You can drive to the front of the hotel and drop bags.

Perfect location very close to city centre and restaurants and shops. Good breakfast included. Bonus is private and safe parking space. There is a large garden where you can sit and relax on good days. One day I bought my dinner in the supermarket opposite of the hotel and ate it in the garden. In September! What a luxury.

A charming old hotel, privately run at a great location. I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel doesn’t have AC but each room has a fan and that was enough. You get complimentary coffee, tea and milk in your room.

This hotel is charming and in the perfect location to explore the Rochester area. It is quiet, the rooms are comfy and clean. This is an old building, and privately run, and with that in mind, it is in excellent condition. But it won't be perfect, and I would encourage visitors to have reasonable expectations. If you do, this is a more than satisfying place to stay. Also, the breakfast was delicious and the dining room is lovely.

Beautiful old pub/Hotel in a pretty village. Great location for visiting Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and the South Coast. Friendly and professional staff. Delicious food and drink at night. Great breakfast, charming breakfast room, lovely staff. Bed was comfortable, with nice quality linen and great housekeeping. Quiet room. Easy walk to centre of village, including an excellent Indian restaurant.
