First of all our host of Hotspur House Liz she is terrific , a very welcoming person and nothing to much for her . Breakfast superb . Location wise fantastic , a quiet village and not far from Hexham , Newcastle or even Durham . Our Deluxe room was excellent and clean, perfect beds . A lovely view over the village square from our bedroom ,the bathroom had a view over the garden. And last but not least a big thank you to Liz for making us feel at home (and we musn't forget to mention the homemade cookies , which we really liked.... ) We would like to recommend Hotspur House to everyone

Ian Regatul Unit

Large comfortable house with artefacts, mostly cat-related, from around the world. Several live cats too. Good breakfast - grapefruit, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, cooked breakfast. Wifi worked. Quiet location but close to the local town, which has pubs, a cafe, a shop, and a Dalek! Excellent for walks and industrial archaeology (lead mining).

This hotel is a superb venue for a relaxing restful break the hospitality, food and Environment were beautiful with very helpful staff

The bedroom was well decorated, with good quality furniture and had an excellent shower. The evening meal was delicious and an added bonus was the real ale. The full English breakfast was a hearty feast.
