While you can reach Thong Sala within 5 minutes and most of the busy west and south coast areas within less than 15 minutes by motorbike, the neighborhood of the resort has a calm rural feel with lots of bird song. It’s probably one of the best areas on the island, if you like going running through forests and coconut groves without having too much of a slope. There is a swimming pool, which is rigorously maintained and kept clean. Generally, the whole compound is meticulously kept clean every day. Pretty much all residents I encountered were respectful of each other and the calm atmosphere, and the owner assured me that it’s very important to them to keep it that way. The villa I staid in comes with a large terrace, a separate kitchen and sitting room and the bedroom with attached bathroom. All rooms are neat and spacious. The terrace provides a view of the central area of the resort and the trees. The kitchen has a big fridge with a freezer unit. Tableware and cutlery and the means to clean them are provided. The sitting area is very spacious, with enough room to do mat pilates or yoga. The terrace and the villa’s garden are spacious enough for these things, too, if you prefer. My mattress was very high quality and I slept very well. The staff is incredibly kind and very attentive and helpful. They do an amazing job in maintaining the resort. The cleaning service provided is impeccable and shows a lot of attention to details, which is very rare. There’s also a very good and inexpensive laundry service. All in all, I think I rarely ever had better service. The owner accompanied my stay even before I arrived, making sure I would find everything I needed. Highly recommended.
