Communication with Eva was smooth right from the time of the booking. Though our ferry arrived in Patmos pretty late, around midnight, it was no problem for her to pick us up. When we arrived, there were a small basket of “welcome fruits” and a bottle of “welcome mineral water” waiting for us at the apartment. During our stay we and Eva were in touch via WhatsApp all the time (and we met several times, too), she was very kind and helped us right way when we had some requests related to the apartment or we had questions about the island. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the apartment is cleaned every day. The place is very quiet, from the balcony of the downstairs apartment we stayed at there is a nice view on the local everyday life, namely we watched a goat herd every morning leaving for the surrounding areas to graze. As our ferry left the island in the afternoon, we left our big bags at the apartment and Eva was kind to bring us them to the port later on. To sum up, we definitely recommend Filio Apartments for everyone to stay at. Patmos is absolutely worth visiting, there are a lot of lovely beaches around the island, some of them with a nice tavern on the spot or nearby, some without any infrastructure at all, other sights are the monastery, the holy cave and the windmills. Everything is within an easy reach if one rents e.g. an e-bike, this is what we actually did.

This place was just perfect! Could not fault anything. Close to the port, restaurants, cafés etc. The owners were extremely accommodating! If we ever can back to Patmos we would stay here without a doubt!!

Breakfast was the best ever, and eating it on the porch overlooking the Aegean was wonderful. Location was perfect, just around the bend from all the action in the port. Hotel staff was helpful, even carried our bags up the steps. Room was comfortable and clean.

Hotel Effie is in a very central location and most things are just a few minutes away. I walked almost everywhere because things were so close. Right from leaving the ship, the hotel is just a few minutes to reach without a car. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating and always had an idea for daily activities even when I didn't. I felt cared for and taken care of. The facilities are clean and the surroundings are like a picture from a travel guide. Very peaceful atmosphere and simplistic charm. I would definitely visit again!

I like the location the place and structure design of room and staff attitude and cleanliness of the hotel. Owner Mike is very friendly and very helpful. The room is cleaned every day and all rubbish is taken out. They have good breakfast. Hotel is just a 5 minutes walk to port beach bus station and heart of Patmos night life. Also Historical side cave is only 1,2 km.And if you are fit enough you can walk from cave in trek way up to Chora Monastery and Wind mills.
