It was a lovely hotel and the staff were most accommodating. We had some trouble with the Wi-Fi and the staff were so helpful until we had our computers going. The breakfast was really nice. They were also helpful in finding us a wonderful guide and recommendations for dinner.

The location is smack in the middle of Kars, just under Kars castle and central to lots of restaurants. You're not going to beat this location with any other hotel, bar none. The hotel is new and in a super-nicely converted building (it's unclear what it was - but perhaps a large barn or stables of some sort) and it combines rustic features of old stone with nice new, warm wood. The rooms were nicely sized and comfortable and the bathrooms modern with all the amenities we were looking for. The hotel is adjoined to a popular cafe in Kars (which is also owned by them) and served up an overwhelming traditional Turkish breakfast everyday. Super value in this.

We were staying here for 1 night to rest during our travel, the staff was so helpful and kind, the location is good and you can walk to the city center and shopping easily. There is a mosque in front of the hotel. The cleanness was not perfect but it was acceptable.
The breakfast also was normal.
I wrongly booked here for 1 day later, but the reception man accepts us and cancel our booking.

Walking distance from Kars Castle and from Ani bus pick up spot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, buffet style with various cheeses, olives, veggies, breads, eggs, jams, etc. Coffee and Tea always available. Good place, thank you!

Traveling by train to Kars might not have been the best option although an experience. Attractions like Ani are a distance away, use the little bus, taxi's will rip you off. The bus driver however will not sell you a 1 way ticket. At the current price 30 TRY each way, is well worth it. You will however only have 2 hours to explore, but that is sufficient.
The food choices are exactly the same as the rest of Turkey, Doner, Iskendar, etc.
Very important point, you can get a bus in the city and do not have to go to the Otogar outside of town.

Kars is a gem in the East that many should visit.
Kars is a gem in the East that many should visit. It has access to other countries like Armenia, Georgia.
Living standard here is much lower than Istanbul.
I will spend more time here if given another chance to visit Turkey
I had my hammam here for only 110 TL, which also included massage. You can never find this in Istanbul

Kars is a fascinating town with an interesting history and beautiful location. In places it is very dirty and dilapidated, with buildings crumbling and empty spaces where they have collapsed or been demolished. However, there seems to be a good deal of restoration work going on and the area around the castle and the main historical buildings has been developed and is clean and pleasant.
It is worth making a visit to the ruins of Ani, the ancient Armenian capital, right on the border with present-day Armenia. Very beautiful and atmospheric. A local bus goes there once a day, leaving from very close to the hotel.

Underrated city in the edge of Anatolia.
Underrated city in the edge of Anatolia. The place offers great unique cuisine and delicious local products. Also, great opportunities for visiting important historical and natural sites. Recommended to do the trip to Kars by the Dogu Express train from Ankara, which is a great experience in itself.

weather was good.
weather was good. Its a nice town to walk round, with some historic buildings such as the castle and some good value cafes and restaurants. The best thing about Kars isthe journey to it, but its not a town with tumble weed blowing through it. It doesn't have anything spectacuar in it, but you do have the sense that you are at the end of Turkey, which you are

I came to Kars to see the ancient city remains of Ani. Worth all the effort to get here. Kars also has some interesting sights, a fortress, russian buildings from the 1800s, mosques, old hamans, good restaurants. Found 1 bar and a great barber for haircutting

I came with the dogu ekspresi from Ankara - 7 hours to late – so that I arrived at 4 am! But it was not a problem, the staff was very friendly! Mr. Savas, the owner, spoke perfect English and gave me a lot of information about Kars and the surrounding! He was always reachable when I had a question! Kars is a beautiful city and Ani a must seen when you are in the region!
The staff, especially Ozlem and Ibrahim were so welcoming and friendly despite me arriving at a late hour. They spoke perfect English and Kurdish and I enjoyed chatting with them about life in Kars!
The hotel was clean despite being in an old building and is centrally located near the bus station and main Street in Kars.
The hotel is new and very easy to reach it is 1 km to main road to Kars and in the city center of Arpacay town. Room and outside is very clean and staff is very helpful.
It was a cold and snowy day so we cooked our meal in the kithcen which has enough tools to cook and eat.
Room was very warm even outside is below 0 C.
Very clean. Excellent staff - helpful & friendly. Nese especially. Was also set up with an extraordinary driver, Tahsin, who took me to several places outside of Kars (thank you, Nese). No time limits set (especially at Ani) or pressure to hurry. Very patient, friendly, fair price and safe driving. I would stay again.
Hotel is in an historical building dating back to the time Kars was part of Russia in a quiet area. Rooms are very tidy and the quality of the breakfast is very good. Best bed and pillow I ever had in an hotel, since they were not too soft. Kars city is small, hence everything can be reached by foot.
The hotel is set in a historical Russian building which looks amazing. The room is also quite spacious and clean. Its location is great since it is very close to the citadel of Kars. The breakfast was nice as well and their cheese selection is simply amazing as Kars is famous for its cheese products.
It was a lovely hotel and the staff were most accommodating. We had some trouble with the Wi-Fi and the staff were so helpful until we had our computers going. The breakfast was really nice. They were also helpful in finding us a wonderful guide and recommendations for dinner.
The hotel is well-located, very close to Kars castle. The area around the hotel has nice cafes and restaurants. The staff are very helpful. On both days we needed to leave early and they arranged early breakfast for us. The room was also comfortable and well-designed.
Very nice flat for a stay in Kars. The view on the fortress is very beautiful, and the city center is 5mn away by foot. The shower is very good. And our host is very reactive, can also arrange taxi transfer. We would be happy to come again!
This is by far the best place to stay in Kars. Away from the crowded city centre and yet at walking distance of it. The location is idyllic and the styling of the hotel is phenomenal. Staff are great!
As a runner, the hotel is located right across from the local track - great benefit! Close to shops and some of the sights of the city. Hotel able to provide taxi driver to go to Ani.
