Breakfast was good, not extraordinary at all but was enough to start a work day. The room that I choose has a perfect size, a place to rest, and a small desk for work. TV should offer access to the most common streaming instead of a cable tv.

Gothenburg is a pleasant and relaxed city with plenty of beautiful parks and canals to spend a relaxed afternoon. The neighbourhood of Haga is not to be missed. The city doesn’t have a bustling nightlife though

Göteborg has a few very nice areas such as the Haga and the botanical garden. The people are quite friendly and good (sweet) food. And the trams are cheap with an easy app and take you everywhere (even to the coast!) It is not a very big city, so 2 days is fine to get around. If you do have another day, go to the Aeroseum, it is not what you expect.

I travelled with my friends and I really did not like the city. People there were rude and not accessible enough for tourists like us. We went to one of the clubs named yakida in night after dinner, the guard simply denied our entry and said only guest list people are allowed. But he was allowing every other person from their own country very easily without checking anything.
We felt discriminated there. Tried to ask people here and there but no fruitful response.
Addition to this, There was not too many things to see in gothenburg. I really didn’t like it that much. And would not recommend to anyone.

Gothenburg is not that touristic so don’t expect to find a lot of attractions. It’s great for shopping, I specially liked the tons of second hand and vintage stores around. Also, there are so many delicious vegan restaurants. I’m not vegan but I was fascinated.
Another tip is to go to the islands around to take a walk and a coffee. You can get there pretty easy and the same ticket for the train serves for the ferry.
This hotel was amazing! Felt I was stepping into the Ritz, says this is a 3 star hotel, in the UK it would be a 5 star, not sure exactly how they could make this even better. The staff were so friendly, let me keep my bag there even after check out and even let me charge my phone too. Beds were really comfortable, loved the walk in shower, room was a really decent size. Very close to the tram stop too which was ideal. Breakfast, fika and dinner was included too, also didn't realise could get free bike rental too. Loved my stay here
Friendliness of the staff was 5 star starting with Britain and Bosse at check -in along with Tina the 27 yr veteran front desk manager. Special shout-out for Robin Larsson for exceptional service in the Executive Lounge (a real pro) and personal interest to satisfy us beyond the call of normal duty. Bruno and Calle also showed wonderful people skills and deserve commendation. Love this property as the breakfast buffet is the best quality in Scandinavia (led by Daniel) with outstanding selections in every category
Perfect location, city center.
Despite that it is located in city center, nights were very quiet. Good breakfast, nice staff. And everything was super clean. Beds were very comfortable. Also a big plus-We arrived after check in time past 21:00, we received the door code to enter the hotel and on the counter was an envelope with our name on it, with room keys. Everything was easy to find and understand. Definitely suggesting this place
We did pay for the best rom you have at the hotell. It was okay, big and stuff. But we can smell pee in the room. We don't know why. We did pay a lot for this room and that not okay. We did find a card for the last guest. super weird, but the room is big and good and the breakfast is super good. We did not have room service. Why do you don't have that? it is a 5 star hotell that don't have it and that's weird.
Very unique, staying on a ship outside of a cruise. The staff were awesome! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Friendliest people I’ve met in Sweden since living here for almost 5 years.
The room was clean, bathroom was nice and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was almost nice and they have coffee and tea all day with light snacks available.
I will come back here again!
The rooms were big and the beds were very comfortable. The location was great because there's a bus station very close to the hotel and it goes directly to all the touristy spots in Gothenburg, like Liseberg for example. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from. And lastly the staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor was also very beautiful.
We only used it as a transit hotel going to Denmark. I selected it based on the central location to see Göteborg a bit.
It had a fair price and accommodation. Breakfast was very well organized and many things to choose from.
Seems like a small hotel from the outside but is very large going in. And it shows when the breakfast is happening. a bit busy but still ok.
Great hotel located near the train station, close to all city amenities and attractions. Kind, helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner were always delicious. The big advantage is that you can go to the cafeteria anytime and grab something to eat or drink. Highly recommended! I will definitely come back to stay here when travelling to Göteborg.
The hotel itself was very nice with a terrace, small gym and sauna, billiard table, and the possibility to buy drinks and snacks in the lobby. The room itself was clearly renovated in a stylish way while my room was small, it still had enough space to comfortably move around in. The breakfast was also quite good.
For me, it met all the basic necessities. I read a review in another platform that the hotel has bed bugs, but it was not the case, thankfully (perhaps rather a cruel allegation). The room was always warm. There is a working shower so hot showers are guaranteed (very useful in cold Sweden). The staff is friendly.
The staff were very accommodating to our requests - when we asked for a hdmi for the room, they gave it to us and they were very friendly. The breakfast was very good and overall the stay was great value and only a 10 minute walk to the city centre - would stay again
Hotel Vanilla is in a great location for the city centre and transport. The staff are great and extremely helpful and flexible. Breakfast was also great. All the admin stuff went very smoothly. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a place in Central Göteborg!!
Spacious and very nice room. Wonderul breakfast included. Great position of the hotel just in front of tge sea, outside Goteborg city center easily reached either by tram (10 minutes walk to the tram station) either by boat (free, just outside the hotel).
YouTube in the tv room. A FREE shuffl table, I went to 3 hotel in Sweden and this was the only one with this. The view, the breakfast, the really nice reception. And during my stay there was an exhibition, I love art so I was happy.
The beds are super soft and comfortable, breakfast was nice, the staff was super polite and helpful, this is one of those rare hotels that have drains that are not clogged. And it was clean.
I highly recommend it.
Nice hotel in Göteborg that is located near the city centre. We have the possibility to make your own waffle and have open access to water and juice, wich is very pleasant !
Good hotel in the city centre of Göteborg and very close to the central station. Excellent breakfast buffet although the breakfast room can get a bit busy.
Cozy and modern hotel, nice staff, clean and spacious rooms, good breakfast, pretty cheap for its value if booked in advance. A nice atmosphere in general
