My schedule was so busy I didn’t get to spend enough time at this really charming hotel. I would absolutely stay here again, but plan to relax at the hotel, a bit more and enjoy the breakfast in the dining area. The proximity to the ocean is perfect and there are of variety of services and other restaurants nearby but the restaurant at the hotel is very nice. The rooms have beautiful wooden furniture and nice crisp linens. I had to leave very early for the airport one morning and the staff was kind enough to pack me a little lunch and I have coffee ready for me at 4 AM. Thank you so much for accommodating me.

Beautiful part of Porto, right over the river with plenty to do. Most of the Porto wine "caves" are on this side of the river but getting across is a quick uber ride. We did a Tuk Tuk tour as well and got to enjoy a Fado performance at night. New Years Eve dinner cruise was great but book ahead so you don't miss out! I would definitely visit again!

The area has plenty of interesting things to visit. Of course, the region is very well known for the vineyards and the respective Port wine cellars, which you can visit and even have a wine tasting. A walk by the river is also recommended.

Being across the river from the old town means gorgeous views and a wonderful relaxed vibe. So many great places to eat and drink all within a short walk. And the old town is easily accessible by foot, tram, even cable car. You are surrounded by the port warehouses, and other renovated industrial buildings. The whole area has had a recent facelift and the city as a whole is very safe and friendly. Everywhere you go the staff and shopkeepers go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing stay. Except the lady in the tourist information. She must have been having a bad day!

We had a fantastic stay at The House of Sandeman.
The location is excellent, just next to the Douro River with a spectacular view of the opposite river side and the Ponte Luís I Bridge.
Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Room and suite decors are amazing. Furthermore, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely choose this accommodation again when staying in Porto, respectively, Vila Nova de Gaia.
Miguel provided the best service of all of the hotels we stayed at during our two weeks in Europe. We can't praise him enough for what a fantastic job he did making us feel welcome and at home. Any hotel would be lucky to have him! We've recommended The Rebello to all of our friends who have asked for Porto recs! Being across the river was much more to our taste being able to walk across rather than be stuck in city center.
Great location to explore both sides of the Douro River areas! Loved the location because the port wine cellars were directly below the hotel on the river and the monetary directly next door to the hotel. Walking bridge just outside the hotel made the location perfect to be in Porto in 10 minutes walk! Breakfast was excellent with so many choices hot and cold. Anything you could want to have a hearty breakfast
.
Very good breakfast, staff excellent, we were lucky with weather and be able to have it on the terrace, great views of Douro and immaculate gardens.
Restaurant food and service were excellent.
To visit a city like Porto but be able to stay in a location such as this was a great bonus, also to be able to take the hotels water taxi into Porto was amazing.
The views from every part of the hotel were spectacular. The hotel is ideally located to walk into Porto across the bridge (either top or bottom) or sit in Vila Nova de Gaia and take in the views the other side of the river. The beds were extremely comfortable, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The snacks and drinks in the Sky Bar were delicious.
Breakfast was brilliant - the breakfast experience at Novotel Porto Gaia exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff's professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist made me feel truly valued as a guest. The wide selection of fresh produce ensured a delightful culinary experience, and the flexible opening hours catered to my needs.
Due to a cancellation from another hotel, I had to quickly find a last minute stay for one night and this hotel was perfect for that. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable, and located just off the metro/bus line and just a short 15-20 minute walk to Porto. Room included a small fridge and I LOVE that the windows opened!
The hotel owner was extremely kind, offering a very early breakfast outside of normal hours due to activities we planned one day of our stay here. Amenities and breakfast are generous, facilities very clean, rooms are spacious, and every staff we encountered very kind. Would definitely stay here again if back in Porto.
Our stay was great. The apartment is as advised on Booking, very clean, spacious, comfortable, sheltered from outside noise, and contains everything one should need for a short stay in Portugal. The location is very close to all the important places in Vila Nova de Gaia and we had no problem finding it as.
The location is excellent! Fabulous views of Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, and the Douro River. Right by Jardim do Morro. Most places you'd care to visit are walkable and if you don't want to walk, it's 5 minutes to excellent public transportation. The apartment was clean and well furnished.
We take the breakfast only once. It was good.
The view from our windows was the very best of the town.
The biggest thanks to Fatima ,who made all our wishes come true.
And thanks to all of you in this hotel.
I will recommend Heritage Apartment to all whom are visiting Porto.
The location was superb, in the very heart of the Vila Nova de Gaia's seafront and surrounded by its wonderful historical buildings. Wonderful sights to OPorto provided from its rooftop terraces, great opportunity for networking.
Amazing location on waterfront, with beautiful view of Porto opposite and the bridge slightly to the right. Vila Nova de Gaia has its own character and buzzing atmosphere. Loved opening the window and soaking it up!
Gaia is a few stations away from Central Porto, but it's quiet and perfect for a city escape. The facilities were amazing, and the hotel gives you a free port wine tasting on-site. The Internet was good and fast.
The accommodation was extremely clean and well put together. The hosts were great and very easy to talk to. It's a short walk to Porto. Very reminiscent of a hotel room. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
Great location, really easy access to Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. Literally located next to the Port wine caves. Property was very good and met our expectations for cleanliness and features
Great modern hotel in a quiet location on the Gaia side of the river. Very comfortable room and a quick 10 minute walk to the city rail line or by foot across the bridge into Porto.
