Nice layout and great beachfront location. The owner is very friendly and attentive to his guests. Each villa has a view of the ocean facing east….we were fortunate enough to have units in the front row (some of the back ones have a view in between the other villas). The included breakfast was good, but took a while to understand what you are ordering (a special item each day, plus fruit, eggs, pancake, sausage is the norm, but you can customize). Decent menu at reasonable prices for lunches and dinner. The hotel has a backup generator for when there are power losses (note that the AC units do not operate when the backup is running - that said, the ceiling fan does and works well when there is a power loss) - it’s Zanzibar and power outages happen regularly.

The 4-star Fleur De Lys is located on a hilltop overlooking the Indian Ocean, and offers a restaurant and bar.
